Great all round pub for food and drink in a lovely setting with friendly staff and great service with lots of car parking. Came for Sunday Lunch, the restaurant was fully booked and the pub area also full … but was able to get a seat in the area out the back which had outdoor heaters per table and kept us + our two young kids warm. Excellent customer service at the bar, good range of drinks for all - very well made cappuccino too … which is unusual for a pub ! Ordered the Sunday Roast, big portions, very tasty and the kids menu was great and reasonably priced. Really pleased with lunch and will be back, thank you ! Fantastic beautiful restaurant, nice outdoor seating area. It's lovely. The food is nice and delicious too.
Went for Sunday Lunch. Didn't book but staff kindly found us a nice table. Couldn't fault the food it was great. Staff friendly and served us well. Would definately recommend and we're looking forward to returning. Thanks Woolpack
Very disappointed. We came here because the place has nice reviews, but it wasn't what we expected. They have a lovely rear garden and the staff was great but the food was poor. We had fish and chips which wasn't good at all. The kids had a cheeseburger.
Very nice, had the pork with crackling and it was lovely..... Great garden with heating.... Nice pub but the landlord was on the phone while serving me with drinks, bit rude to be honest.....
Awwsome food and good vibes. Still have to try out the other dishes and looking forward to hangout some more.
This place was highly recommended to us. The food we had was lovely, really tasty and a good variety on the menu. The service is the reason for the low rating. On arrival we weren't told the specials or told what was unavailable, so when I came to ordering we had to pick something else. We asked for water for the table, twice. Our mains was sat on the pass for at least 10 minutes and our table wasn't cleared of the starter plates until they realised our food was ready. We weren't asked once how the food was. We had to ask for the bill twice and finally got it after asking another member of staff. The manager, I'm guessing, is good at looking busy but doing minimal work. Clocked off and still hadn't given us the bill. Would have got 4 or 5 stars if the staff and customer service was better. Not even the basics achieved.
This pub is lovely. We popped in for a drink and had the most service. The atmosphere is lovely and the staff are very friendly. The service is fast and you get feel very welcome in the establishment by the staff. We will be coming here for a meal in the new year. This pub is warm and homely and has very positive vibes. Thank you
A lovely local pub with great food. I would definitely recommend booking ahead on a Sunday for a roast as they often sell out and we have visited at 5pm on a Sunday and they’d run out of lots of things on the menu. Didn’t put us off as we just came back the next weekend. Their covered garden area is lovely and we spent a lot of evenings out there in the summer.
This is a very comfortable place to go. We went for Sunday lunch. We even took the dogs. They were even given dog biscuits. The food was good but the roast potatoes did taste a bit like they had been double cooked. They were still edible though. I had the lamb and it was delicious. I would recommend a visit.
