"Nestled in the heart of beautiful Linton, near Wetherby, stands the 460 year old Windmill Inn, proudly packed full of old English character. With its rustic wooden beams, charming stone floors and welcoming staff this pub is perfect for a relaxing day out. The Windmill Inn is a popular traditional public house and has an excellent reputation locally. During the cold winter months, three open fires roar away giving the pub a lovely warm glow. During the summer, dinks and a bite to eat can be had in the peaceful and award winning garden. We are dog friendly and welcome our four legged friends to join us in the garden and bottom bar."

This is an excellent venue in a lovely village setting. High degree of friendly atmosphere, good range of beers and nice staff. Busy early doors but quietened later in the Friday evening. I'll be back
Called late afternoon for early dinner. Excellent quality food from a varied menu. The belly pork was the best I have tasted followed by a delicious apple pie. Recently changed hands and clearly making an effort to succeed.Service: 5/5
Overpriced food for what it is. Steak was average, and the sauce ordered with it was supposed to be blue cheese but tasted like bechamel sauce we had to season everything. My friend got the cottage pie, which was dry and again lacking flavour she had to ask for gravy as it was so dry and tasteless. The staff didn't have a clue what they were serving they could not tell the difference between a fillet steak or ribeye when serving. They didn't ask when ordering how we liked it and obviously were young and under trained. Will not be visiting again Food & drinks: Overpriced food for what it is. Came here after a horrible experience prior at a different pub Food was INSANE!! Ordered the pork belly and it came with the most delicious strip of crackling on top. Veg was all well cooked & seasoned & fresh, roasties were crispy and the gravy was literally probably the nicest gravy i’ve had. 10/10 would recommend.
Last time I was in here I drank Youngers Scotch Bitter & No3 ale. No such luck this time all cask beers were off, so had a lovely Guinness instead. The pub has not lost it's small room cosiness and charm. Bar staff very friendly. Will have to return sometime.Service: 5/5
Comfortable very old pub in scenic village. Lovely food and great service. Friendly. Recommend the Ploughman's platter and the sticky toffee pudding. Big portions even on smaller plates.Service: 5/5
Very disappointing. Went for lunch, no menus on bar or tables, choice basic, food arrived but no cutlery or condiments. Young people behind the bar busy chatting, no initiative to sort basics. Food in my case poor, lumpy mash, frozen peas seasonal veg! and carrots. Awful Yorkshire pudding from frozen. Sausages were tasty but onion gravy had no onions. Won't return.
Lovey country pub with beautiful garden. Unfortunately, let down by poor service. No smile from behind the bar, seemed too much trouble to handle cash, and no thank you. There was no ,'service with a smile' on a great sunny afternoon
We attended the Windmill for Sunday lunch on 7 July 2024. Awful experience when dining. Hair in my food, scampi was cold, batter was soggy, no continuity of service, beer was badly kept with cloudy real ale, table wasn’t cleared on a regular basis, although young staff tried their best there was no direction. For such a lovely environment and setting we felt let down by the overall experience. Wouldn’t recommend
Visited here for the first time and wow! The food was fantastic and very reasonably priced. The rooms were clean and spacious and the atmosphere was lovely. Will definitely be returning here againRooms: 5/5
