Most of the time I'll come to this place for a pint and the carvery, but today I thought I'd take a chance on the house burger, I'm glad i did! The chips were nice and fluffy, the patties were juicy with plenty of sauce and the bacon on the burger was crisp just right! Can't wait to try the rest of the menu.Food: 5/5
Had a lovely Sunday Roast at The Windmill and the staff and Manager John could not do enough to make our experience a good one. The food was good and is great value for money. I will definitely be going back. I advised John of a good allergy and he did everything to ensure I was made of aware of the Windmills policies, and he and his staff went above and beyond to ensure this was addressed.
Collected a too good to go carvery tonight. The food was fab!! And Connor was so helpful delivered great service and the manager was just as great too!!! Cheers for the extra roasties!! Delighted will definitely visit again!!
We visited on bank holiday Monday whilst traveling through the area. Holly on the bar met us with a welcoming smile, great small talk and even better recommendations on things to do in the local area. She then came to our table with colouring books for our children and was a 10/10 gem - thank you! The Dirty Philly Burgers went down a treat for the adults, whilst the kids menu was a hit with our little ones.
Visited the Windmill with my wife on a Sunday afternoon for some carvery and a few drinks. Will ABSOLUTELY be coming again and making this a regular occurrence. To start the staff were absolutely fantastic, Shaunie the new gm as an absolute star and super friendly when serving us at the bar and was lovely to have a little chat. We was served by Laura who stayed with us throughout the meal and was quick to deal with any issues we had. The food was exceptional. We had some starters that were out fairly quickly and they was all hot and tasty. We followed it up with a carvery that definitely hit the spot for the both of us. The meat was juicy and tender and all the veg was delicious. A couple of the veg felt like it wasn't very fresh but upon request the chefs changed it over without a second thought and this was quick and efficient leaving us to enjoy freshly cooked veg. The gravy was also hot and nice and thick. We only had a couple of desserts but the sundaes were super lovely and looked incredible with beautiful presentation and all our food was served with a smile. To sum up it was a great experience and would definitely come again. 10/10 Parking: Parking around the building lots of spaces Wheelchair accessibility: Definitely accessible, ramps and wide doors and walkways and a big disabled bathroom.
Went here for a birthday party. The service was great, not much selection on the carvery but it was still good quality food. Drink prices are good as well. £4 something for a pint of cider. Not bad. The staff were really friendly and helpful as well. In the separate room, they have a pool table
First class service by HOLLY. She was very friendly and helpfull. Holly took our order. She told me the fish was Haddock and it was delicious. Nice and crispy with Mushy peas. Would definitely choose fish again. Some family members chose carvery which they all enjoyed. Others chose burgers and all enjoyed them. Especially as they were 50% discounted. We celebrated my sons birthday and they brought out the cake we took for him. It was a good venue for his birthday and the grandchildren enjoyed themselves. Well done. Thanks Holly.
Excellent value full English breakfast. Good carvery although a richer gravy could liven up the bland vegetables. Always helpful and friendly staff. Kid-friendliness: Families with young kids are made to feel at home.
Holly was absolutely brilliant! Very helpful and great with our young kids.. made a real fuss of them and made us feel special! Food was very nice! Would recommendRecommended dishesChicken Nuggats, Dirty Philly Burger, House BurgerParking spacePlenty of parkingParking optionsFree parking lot
We love going to the windmill for a meal but every so often we get a to good to go deal , we got there tonight and unfortunately was a glitch on the app and they had cancelled the order. The chef John was absolutely lovely and provided us with our meal regardless, very pleasant and accommodating and even apologetic for fault that wasn't he's own . Thank you very much your kindness was greatly appreciated. Xx
