I stayed here on 20/08/24. I was in room 5a. I went to bed around 11:30 pm and I was very tired! I woke up within 20 minutes, realising I had been bitten with bed bugs. Once I had seen the bed bugs and video'd them, I phoned the hotel there was no one there, it was a telephone service to get in the person on the phone was very apologetic and offered me room 8a. I gladly accepted, moved my stuff, and settled in for a nights sleep. Before I had fallen asleep, I had been bitten again by more bed bugs. I have enclosed photos and videos of the 2 separate occasions. I then left the hotel, and because it was past midnight, I ended up having to sleep in my van. I was offered a full refund, but still have to risk the bedbugs being transferred to my own house, through my luggage! The owner clearly only responds to positive reviews and ignores all the comments of bed bugs! He said that there were people there on the weekend, and they didn't complain. Absolutely the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, and I am a contractor and live in hotels. Rooms: The room was OK, no shower pressure. Safety: This place should be shut down Noteworthy details: Do not book to stay here.
Booked a family room for a trip to the Rugby. No reception upon arrival. Eventually spoke to someone over the phone. Upon entering the room we noticed dirty cups on the side, both beds looked like they had just been slept in, dirty towels all over the floor. Spoke to someone over the phone who said he would get it sorted in a few hoursit was 7pm by this time he put us in another room whilst we waited. This room was the smallest double I've ever seen, filthy would be an understatement. We didn't hang around, booked into the Premier inn just down the road. The Wimbledon Hotel must have the best photographer in the business. Stay here at your peril.
I wouldn’t even put a dog in this hotel. Room was dirty, my mug stuck to table, shower didn’t work, rooms flooded during stay, no power in room for a night. Sanfo unit in room from next room so when they went to loo had to listen to the pump by the headboard. Owner didn’t care about the room at all. The tv didn’t work and kettle had to be cleaned before use, dust was everywhere wouldn’t recommend this to anyone environmental health should be informed on how unhygienic this hotel was. Rooms: Rubbish and dirty
Do no go here, room was freezing, wasn’t clean as had glue spots on the bed sheet, had tobacco in one of the drawers. Shower water and bath water was warm for 2 seconds then was cold. Check in was just phoning the guy and no one to greet us keys were just left by the door so anyone could of taken them. Glad we didn’t stay for breakfast as tiny room and very little options. But nice area shops are close by.
DO NOT STAY HERE. Cons: Infested with bed bugs…and we stayed in the Executive room. I got bitten multiple times. The bathroom is the size of a shoebox- and not practical. Zero hooks anywhere so you have nowhere to hang your towels. The shower drain was blocked and flooded within two mins of showering. The shower was luke warm and never got hot. Not ideal especially when London is cooler. Hotel wasn’t on the cheap side either. Pro’s: The size of the room was okay and it was clean despite the bed bugs. The location was quite nice with buses right downstairs. The parking is free- so if you’re driving you can save a bit of money per day. But bottom line, it was not value for money and couldn’t fully enjoy it.
Environmental health should shut this place down! I left there eaten alive by bed bugs. I had to have an ice cold shower and the owner said the boiler had stopped working. Even when there was hot water the shower was so poor it was just dripping out. Your bed sheets are not changed for your arrival neither are they throughout your stay. I was greeted with a heap of dirty, soaking wet towels from the previous guests and no bed sheets. The owner could not care a less whether you are comfortable and happy there or not he just wants your money. Infact, he can’t even be bothered to say hello. Your keys are in a box by the front door that anyone can take and furthermore to the security nobody works there at all through the night should you need anything or there was an emergency there is nobody about at any point. The whole place smells stale and in all honestly my dog sleeps better and I wouldn’t let him stay here! AVOID!!!
Please save your life from this rubbish, dirty hotel! Never in my life see worse dirty hotel and the room so small I never see it. No carpets, dirty old floors not able to open window for fresh air, so cold in room everywhere, dust pillows and duvet cover smell like ...... in the bathroom no coment shower space that small the bigger person not able to use. Everywhere is paper post on walls like information portal. From morning to very late, you can hear banging sounds from builders' people. So expensive, you have a better price on a travelodge.
Good value for London. Positive: Rooms was spacious. Bed and linen were clean. WiFi is decent and free parking. Negative: Bathroom needs maintenance, shower rail was broken and shower head holder was also broken. Taps made funny noise when you use them. Could hear everyone walking pass the door.
I'm really sorry, but I can't recomend this hotel for accomodation because pictures from web page is so different. "Hotel" it's very old with old furniture and equipment. I stayed in this hotel for two weeks in November 2023, if I could, I would leave after the first hour but my Company paid for the accomodation in advance - Mistake! Positive: very friendly communication with staff. Negative: Old hotel, old furniture and equipment, never changed the bed linen, old bed and bedding, near the trains - the bed vibrated when the train went by, bed bugs and pinches on the body, towels and bath towels without replacement, mold in the bathroom etc. Sorry my friends, but this hotel is one star maybe only for friendly communication.
Horrible the owner couldn't care less of the state of his hotel and isn't safe as anyone can access the keys to each room. The 1st room we booked was full of bedbugs and blood on the bed sheets. The owner was rude and dismissive of these facts. 2nd room he offered was just as bad and as soon as we opened the door. All the dust blew into our face. The bedsheets had yellow stains. The surfaces were full of dust and hadn't been cleaned for a long time and no functioning aircon
