My stay here was solid, helped by easy parking, great location and friendly service.nPros - Location is great, with Merton Abbey Mills local restaurants and bars plus Sainsbury’s and M&S 2 mins walk. The car park is just outside and free. I stayed in one of the premier plus rooms and it’s nice. Really like the concept. Service was great and I enjoyed both dinner and breakfast.nCons - only one lift seemed to be working for my entire stay. With several floors and loads of rooms, even when the hotel was relatively quiet it was a long wait. In busy times like Wimbledon I dread to think how long! I ended up walking the many flights as just quicker.nI will definitely stay again. Overall this hotel is consistent and having the PP rooms helps.
I had a great stay at Premier Inn Wimbledon South. The whole hotel is clean, organised and very welcoming. The restaurant area is spotless and nicely set up, the food is fresh, and the atmosphere is calm and comfortable.nnThe rooms are also very clean, cosy and well maintained. The bed is super comfortable and everything you need is provided, which makes the stay really relaxing. The area is convenient and quiet, with easy access to transport and local shops.nnA special mention to Anita — she is amazing at what she does! Always friendly, professional and attentive, making guests feel comfortable and looked after. Her positive attitude really makes a difference. Highly recommend staying here!
Unfortunately the quality of the food in the restaurant was poor. For the 3 days that we stayed there was no draught beer for 2 of them. There was no coke apart from those in the overly priced vending machine and no lemonade.nThe rooms were clean but one of sidelights was hanging down. The communal areas were in need of cleaning and it appeared that the whole hotel was understaffed and uncared for, with the staff there doing the best that they could with the little they had to work with.nOne of the lifts was out of service which meant that there was a long wait to use it which is not good when one of the party had issues with standing and walking. When the lift did appear it was sometimes filled with room cleaning staff who made no attempt to allow customers to use it.nWe purposely chose this Premier Inn for the restaurant and social spaces due to mobility issues however we were forced to find alternative places to eat and meet with family.nWith this in mind we will seriously consider using it on our next visit to the capital unless things improve drastically.
I stayed at Premier Inn with my husband on the 14th of February and we went down for breakfast that morning. Unfortunately, my food order was wrong, and when I politely mentioned it to the staff, the situation was handled very poorly. The two staff members,Luminita and Edyta, were both quite impolite, which made the experience uncomfortable and disappointing.I would honestly expect way better customer service. There were also noticeable communication difficulties as their English was very broken, which made it harder to resolve the issue properly. I chose this hotel based on the good reviews and expected much better service, so this was really disappointing.
Very average compared to others. Needs attention - lift out of action, can only call the other on down not up to the rooms when at reception, bad smell by breakfast. Staff mostly uninterested and unorganised - some were ok. Guests smoking cannabis during the night - stank floor 4 out. Reported but not sorted until the next day. Not a brilliant experience. Free car parking was great though
