The Whitehouse
"The White House is an Edwardian Chef & Brewer pub restaurant in Roundhay. Lying on the outskirts of Leeds, our countryside pub's on the edge of the sprawling Roundhay Park and only a stone's throw from the southern tip of the pretty Waterloo Lake. Perfectly placed for a meal or drink after a relaxing walk, we serve local cask ales you may like to enjoy in the fresh air of our beer garden. Order one of our tasty pub meals and keep an eye out for our breakfast menu, seasonal specials and pub Sunday roast. Use our free WiFi, disabled facilities and coach parking if you need to, and bring the dog along if you like. In the Leeds area and looking for great pubs near me? Book your table at the White House now."

Beautiful place with lovely food. Service was amazing and the owner is fantastic. The only downfall of the evening was the older lady serving behind the bar. She was very rude and came across quite obnoxious towards my partner. He was paying contactless with her then abruptly asking, “can you not read? It says insert card!” He politely smiled and inserted card with her then being rude again. Apart from that, the evening was amazing. 10* 10* for food and other than the rudeness it was beautiful.
Myself and my wife visited at 5-30pm last Wednesday i had booked the wrong time ie 3-30pm however staff allowed me to still dine as bar area was not too busy. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. i had the smothered chicken which was nice while my wife had steak pie and she loved it,she loved the vanilla slice even more, really nice relaxed atmosphere and will be happy to return.reasonable prices although we did have a 2 mains for 1 deal. Vegetarian options: there were several dishes of a vegetarian nature including salads etc Dietary restrictions: The female waitress made a point of asking us if we had any and offered options Parking: There is about 10 spaces at the side of the building for disabled parking and they are very close to entrance there is another very large car park at the other side there is no issue with parking in my opinion Kid-friendliness: there were several families with young children and the staff were very attentive towards them. Wheelchair accessibility: i did see several diners entering the main bar area so assumed access was good
Lovely atmosphere on a Friday, affordable lunch menu with good options. Could do with prices on the food menu as most of the bottles / ciders / beers have no price on the menu.Food: 5/5
What a fantastic place! I love how it looks inside, with different areas to sit depending on your need, giving cosy as well as space for large tables. My experience was wonderful, with Addam going out of his way to accommodate my needs and making my time there absolutely superb!! My latte was perfect thanks for the recommendation Addam, and my chef’s special burger was totally delicious!! An excellent experience all round, and I will definitely be back!!!
Leslie and the team at The White House always make our business trips the best. Great customer service, food and ale. There’s no better place to go for any occasion. Can’t wait to see you all again!Food: 5/5
Had a lovely lunch meal here on Saturday. Our waitress Charlie was excellent. Very knowledgeable about the menu, pleasant and also went out of her way to check that our little boy was OK and had everything he needed. The food and the atmosphere were also great .Food: 5/5
Amazing, amazing place! It was raining so we stayed inside. Beginning of June and the fire was on, creating a lovely, cozy atmosphere. We loved everything here: the big parking, the colorful display of flowers at the entrance, the fact that our 3 dogs were more than welcome by the staff. They received blankets, treats and a bowl of water. The food was so tasty and I was impressed with the size of the Yorkshire Pudding. I don't have words, so the pictures will hopefully do them justice. I haven't had such a delightful meal in a long time. The ladies toilets were so colourful, extremely clean, smelling lovely and having nice soap and hand lotion. The staff is so attentive, so careful, so accommodating. This is by far one of the loveliest places I have ever been.
Had a lovely Sunday dinner here - beef on the bone which was delicious. Claire and Kirsty were friendly and helpful and looked after us with a smile. We’ll definitely be back!Food: 5/5
Had the meal deal Started with mushrooms on garlic bread. Mushrooms smothered generously with flavor on crispy bread. I was thinking if the main dish is half as good I'd be happy. Well it was as good. Peruvian chicken with chips. Again nice flavor and a generous portion. Service was attentive and friendly. Thanks for a nice evening Vegetarian options: A friend with me was vegetarian and said there were plenty of options. All choices were good
We decided to go for breakfast after a rainy walk at Roundhay Park. We walked into the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing breakfast. The lighting was cosy, the music was chilled and perfect for breakfast vibes. We were greeted by Pippa who made us feel so welcome and was excellent at her job. We were both delighted with our orders. I had avocado and poached eggs on toast and my partner had the salmon. The food was delicious!!! The tea is served with a home made biscuit which is a lovely touch. Huge compliments to chefs Carla and Dave! And thank you to the team for making our breakfast so enjoyable. We loved it. I also love the range of options on the breakfast menu. I usually struggle to find something I fancy as I'm not a huge meat fan. If you're looking for a delicious breakfast in a gorgeous cosy pub with excellent service, then this is the place to go! Vegetarian options: The breakfast menu has great options for vegetarians.
