2nd time we have been here but 1st time for food. Wow! I had a Sunday dinner and other half had the pie of the day with mash, carrots and greens. We were both stuffed. All fresh ingredients, not overcooked. Proper home cooked Yorkshire pudding and roasties and the chicken pie was stuffed to the brim. Such a lovely pub/restaurant not far from roundhay park where we spent a couple of hours around the lake before coming for food. Definitely be back and Anna was our lovely waitress who looked after us. Parking: Parking behind pub/restaurant or main side road. All free
Ordered chicken and bacon salad arrived with out chicken or bacon my partner finished his meal before this was rectified. When I finally got my meal the chicken was very dry! Should get advice from George and Dragon at Apperley Bridge always excellent foodFood: 1/5
An absolute gem of a place, the venue is stunning, the staff absolutely amazing. Went for a valentines 3 course meal yesterday, we got there and were treated like royalty, the staff very friendly, polite and professional, the food was sooo good, we had garlic prawns and chorizo for our starter which was piping hot and amazing and for our mains we had a steak which was cooked to perfection better then Miller and carters in my opinion all of it absolutely amazing, even the vine tomatoes. Will definetly be back again, the bar area is lovely and allows dogs which is good for dog owners. The selection of drinks was also very good, something for every one.
The food was lovely. However some of the veg was a little hard. The staff who were Anna and James were very attentive, friendly and made sure our visit was an enjoyable one. It was very busy but it didn't affect the service. Looking forward to going again. Parking: There is a small car park but plenty of street parking. Opposite the Roundhay Fox there are disabled parking.
Joe was really helpful and friendly. Great chicken pie and mash. The mocha with oat milk was lovely with a mini brownie for dessert.Food: 5/5
Noah was excellent and attentive throughout our visit on a busy Sunday. The food was great, the meat on the trio was amazing and banoffee desert was to die for.Food: 5/5
We came just after our trip to Tropical World and were quickly seated and served by Kiera, who was very pleasant and efficient. The food, cooked by John, was just what we needed and was delicious. We’ll definitely come back!
I know Vintage Inns are a chain but the Roundhay Fox never feels like a chain restaurant, it’s always warm and homely. Excellent food, friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere. Thank you Keira for your service! And John and James in the Kitchen for the Buttermilk Chicken Burgers!
We came to the Fox With my partner and for a family meal, his mother has dementia. Their attention to detail and attitude towards service was fantastic. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was great. Highly recommendFood: 5/5
We visited for Fathers Day, and had a lovely meal. There was a good variety of options on the menu although most of us went for the Sunday roast. Our waitress, Sophia, was polite and attentive and looked after us very well.Food: 4/5
