Moved to the area not long ago, this pub is lovely, all the food we have had has been well made, tasty and good priced. The bar staff are welcoming and polite. Each time we’ve been in we’ve had the same waitress, she is absolutely lovely, very friendly and has made us feel very welcome. We’ll be visiting a lot more, thank you for being so welcoming and friendly.
Friendly welcome on a busy Monday night at this popular establishment, just a few hundred yards off the main road in Littleover. Good selection of well kept ales available. Very busy on the food front, most tables in the "restaurant" side were occupied. Good Beer Guide and Cask Marque accredited too.
Unfortunately it’s a ‘pub’ for eating, not drinking. Stopped for a few beers but after 10 minutes a sign appeared on the table in the bar saying it was reserved and the time approaching - just stopping for one then. You could at least not allow tables to be reserved for food in the bar area. It’s a shame because it could be a nice pub. Parking: Large car park but always full. Kid-friendliness: Awful, don’t bring them. Wheelchair accessibility: Not very good
Visited today for Sunday dinner with friends. This was our first visit, but our friends have been before and highly recommended we try this pub. Their recommendation was good, as the meal Sunday carvery was first class, choice of beef, pork or turkey and an excellent selection of perfectly cooked fresh vegetables. Everything tasted perfect and all four of us agreed that it has to be the best Sunday carvery we have ever had for choice, freshness and value. Drinks service at the bar was friendly and prompt thanks to the always smiling and polite bar team and the pub has a great selection of drinks including an extensive selection of real ales. The pub has a nice warm and welcoming atmosphere and is very pleasantly decorated. For Sunday dinner it is advisable to book in advance as this pub does get very busy due to being so popular.
This is our local pub and always loved it Visited today for the first time in a while but had to sit outside as the bar area stinks of dog!!! It's disgusting. What a shame as the food, service, staff, ambience, beer is great. It wasn't even a wet day, it was dry. But that doggy smell is just too much in a small bar. Gross. We pay good money for drinks, the dogs don't!!!! Get them back outside only!!!
Great experience from start to finish. To combine all aspects together is a triumph. WELL DONE Will definitely be going back. Food: 5/5
