Solid, decent pub what more can be said? It's most likely you will find your choice of drink here and if not a great alternative. Parking: Be prepared to signal early. Kid-friendliness: Young children. Wheelchair accessibility: Be determined but mind the fact that the premises is on a slope.

We called in on the way back from Derby after a trip to see a band at Derby theatre. We used to go to the Spa in the 80s and 90s. It would be fair to say that it's not the same pub. The lady serving us was very friendly, but my wife was the only other lady in there. Fingers crossed it changes very quickly and very soon.
Been to a few functions there now and love it The only drawback is that the regulars feel free to join in your party choosing to completely ignore the signs on the doors but on the whole it's cheap and cheerful and the staff are lovely
Just wanted to a big thanks to the bar staff for today, 17/7/21. You guys were rushed off your feet, but nothing was too much trouble. It was a lovely relaxed atmosphere in the courtyard! To the boss, can't praise your staff enough, they were attentive, always had a smile and worked bloody hard! Thanks again x Mel x
Fairly large, traditional pub. Good range of drinks served by friendly staff. A few benches are outside the front, however there's a nice, enclosed courtyard with more seating to the rear. Generally it would be a fairly ok edge of the city pub, however it's the people that lift it. Every one was friendly, easy going and easy to talk to creating a good atmosphere.
