We have just spent 2 nights here & it was absolutely wonderful. The room was clean & comfortable with a lovely ensuite shower room. The restaurant, bar & sitting room were all full of character & with a lovely friendly atmosphere. The staff were really friendly & nothing was too much trouble throughout our stay. The food was superb, second to none! We would give everything that we ate a huge 10 out of 10. Will definitely stay again!

We stayed at the White Lion Inn for 2 nights in April. We were not disappointed. The former drovers' pub has been renovated, with great style, into a very comfortable pub/hotel. We had an excellent superior room (room 7) with loads of space. Excellent bathroom, very comfortable bed. Food was really good, quite grown up and very well presented, the Black Pudding and Chorizo scotch egg is outstanding! Breakfast was excellent. Management and staff are really helpful and friendly. Its a 15 minute drive from anything that resembles a main road and the beauty of that drive and the location of the Pub make it worthwhile. Across the road is the upper reaches of the River Wharfe , the stepping stones and walks up the moors and dales. Its also quite close to the well known Yockenthwaite bridge. Highly recommend the White Lion Inn!

Having walked over from Buckden in the snow, we were ready for a snack and a drink. Warm fires, good quality hot food, and a great pint were all there on arrival. We couldn't resist staying for another drink, which definitely made the walk back feel easier!

Lovely hotel in the middle of Yorkshire Dales national park. Rooms are small and reasonably well equipped (TV, bathroom). Good bed, clean room and bath room! Free WiFi available throughout hotel (also requirement, as there is no cellular reception). Great breakfast and dinner possibilities, though limited seating capacity. Excellent service!

We spent a weekend at the dales and by sugestion of our camping site we went to the White Lion, I mus say that I was not expecting much, don't know why really... I have moved to the UK 3 years ago, I eat out a lot and I like to eat well... I must say this was one the best meals I have ever had! Food was delicious and service was excelent!
