The White Lion

Sadly this place has gone downhill since its revamp. For a few months this was a fun, relaxing place to have a drink, get dinner or watch the football. But it's a shadow of what it could be, thanks to poor management and an influx of unsavoury characters, who make the place a noisy, threatening, unpleasant environment. On recent visits, the pub has been overrun by drunken lads in fancy dress, menacing families out for a meal; taken over by football fans whose idea of fun was smashing each other over the head with a plastic sign; and became the go-to place for local thugs, druggies and criminals. It's sad that management has been unable to prevent the White Lion turning into one of the most inhospitable venues in town

Decent place for a drink and watching sport. Good drink offers and very helpful Staff.

Amazing food, great staff and the new menu is superb lots of new dishes to try. I took my 5 year old neice with me today, she loved her monster meal and the girls behind the bar were great with her! Definitely worth a visit
