Visited at lunchtime on Thursday 12 April 2018 after last visiting four years ago. The access to The White House is more difficult at present as the road works , sewer pipe improvements , have closed Wellington Road just after the shops during the working day. The restaurant was not open as there was a private function happening. We ordered drinks first and I had a half of Wye Valley Bitter real ale for £1.60 (£3.20 a pint). I was not impressed by the bitter which was below average I'm my opinion. We sat in a comfortable corner table and decided to risk a meal. I ordered a Chicken Parmigiana ( a breaded flattened chicken breast topped with cheese and tomato , red pepper/ tomato sauce) and my wife had a sirloin steak. We both found the meals ok but nothing special.

Rooms well in need of a update and beds really old and uncomfortable and not as clean as it used to be. Bar and restaurant ok and Staff always friendly just let down by bedrooms!

Thank you. Had a great night celebrating my daughters birthday. There was 25 of us food and service was excellent. Thank you all 😀

you can get a great meal on a sunday evening, when you don't know where to go because everywhere else is closed. The staff are ALWAYS pleasant and very helpful, and smile smile smile!! ThANK YOU GIRLS!!

Bedroom clean and comfortable,, Breakfast excellent large portions Staff freindly and helpful Would I stay again 100% yes Value excellent Would recommend to all my friends
