A fantastic community-run pub! A great place to sit outside in the beer garden, admiring the sunset, with food trucks in the summer; and very cosy sat by the fire in winter. Run by a lovely group of people regularly putting on music and food and great beer, and there is always someone to chat and play pool or table football with. Proper community pubs like this are worth cherishing and it is definitely worth a visit!
Very welcoming, they opened the pub on a Tuesday so our pool team had a venue to play league matches after the pub we played for closed, very nice sandwiches aswell.Food: 5/5

Lovely evening at the White Horse, a fabulous band followed by impromptu acoustic music. Community run pub, with volunteers manning the bar. Really friendly and welcoming. Beers are provided by a local independent brewery but you can also get tea or coffee. Highly recommend a visit.

The best pub food for miles around! Excellent service, great beer and all extremely reasonably priced. I've lived in this neck of the woods for years and rarely try local pub food now because usually it's plate of processed fried food piled high with ketchup and onion rings. The White Horse has recently changed hands and has upped the stakes steaks! Highly recommended for good well priced food.
Even though they were closed, we followed in a couple of gentlemen who were there on business, the landlord still got us a drink. Could if said closed but welcomed us in.Service: 5/5
Fantastic meals, steak was cooked to perfection and my partner loved her beer battered cod.. The barkeep was a very pleasent kind of chap also. If your in the area this is a great bar with fine food at a good price and some really nice local ales. Highly recommended.
