Excellent country restaurant. Don't come expecting high end London cooking. It's straight forward with flavour in a country fashion. Reasonably mid priced and a wine list reasonably marked up. Yes it has faults but it's a very good experience.
Enjoyed a lovely meal. We travelled up from Ipswich after seeing photos and reviews online and to try somewhere new. We were not disappointed! Will definitely be returning. Very friendly and excellent food.
Thank you, this was a well balanced menu cooked to a high standard and presented in a wonderful manner! In today’s understaffed world it was nice to have great service and a caring attentive attitude! Great value and well worth a visit.

Went in for lunch on the recommendation of our hosts, and were not disappointed. My wife & I had roasts Beef & Pork and our son had a burger. The food was excellent and the roasts were massive, especially the Yorkshires. the staff were friendly and they allow dogs too. Would recommend.
We had the most amazing meal last night ,the staff were so friendly and very busy but made sure we were very well looked after . The food was exceptional and we enjoyed every mouthful, Thank you very much see you again .
Great service, great menu and great food plus dog friendly - all big ticks in my book. My friend had 3 starters instead of a main because she couldn't choose and was delighted by them all. I had the lamb shank and was not disappointed. I recommend making a reservation!
Well that was the first time my cousins and I had been there , the staff were very attentive , the food was absolutely wonderful , the chef checked that everything was ok , no complaints whatsoever , I would highly recommend and the price very reasonable

Lunch with family and dog. Wonderful place, glad we have discovered it. Lovely owners, fish pie to do die for. Have now rediscovered how much I enjoy poached pears. We will be back!
