Food arrived quickly and was pretty standard pub food. Liked that it was dog and child friendly but only dogs allowed in the bar area. Apart from the barman who was chatty and lively the rest of the servers we encountered barely cracked a smile and one was quite curt!
Very friendly staff. We ate in the bar area as restaurant booked out. Had 2 bottles of coke. Haddock and chips wirh mushy peas. Haddock was very greasy and overcooked but edible. Lasagne very nice. It does come with garlic bread and salad but my partner didnt want that so he had chips instead . The salad still arrived though lol. Nice atsmophere and very clean. Paper menus on tables. One of ours should have gone in a bin as something spilt all over inside. Parking: Large car park. Lots of room.
The White Horse has various dining areas. Indoor and outdoor, in lovely well maintained gardens. I ordered Baked Gammon, Eggs and Chips. Sadly .. plate and the Gammon - ice cold. Chips golden and crispy, as requested. Eggs perfectly fried, unfortunately placed on a cold plate. Waitron staff super serious, no smiles going around, gent behind the bar knew his stuff, very professional.
Probably the best prawn sandwich in Norfolk, which can be enjoyed whilst sat in a easant garden in a peaceful environment just a few minutes away from Holme beach. Parking: Parking can be a little tricky depending upon volume of patrons and how considerate or how well they park their vehicles
Lunch times are very popular, and busy. Almost too much for the few staff. We got a drink and waited to order lunch. And waited. And waited. We finished our drinks and just at the point we were going to leave we were able to order. All a bit chaotic. Thankfully the lunch was great.Food: 5/5
Excellent food and excellent value. Great service and lovely fire going. I had Sea bass with new potatoes and salad , whilst the wife had Tiger King prawns in chilli and garlic butter with salad and crusty bread . Brilliant menu choice . Will definitely return.
We did pre- book. Car park was already full when we arrived and we had to park on the road. Very busy but our food orders dealt with quickly. We sat outside as it was a lovely day. Food was excellent and good value. Lovely atmosphere. Very enjoyable experience. Vegetarian options: My wife is vegetarian and had several options. Kid-friendliness: Play area. Crayons and drawings available. Parking: Limited car parking when busy. You seem to be able to park in road okay.
Good Sunday lunch and extensive menu, good choice of traditional puds
Some staff quite rude and unwelcoming. Food is ok for a pub lunch but not out of this world. Pizzas are nice but the kids’ burgers were cremated, and peppercorn sauce for the steak was congealed like a Chinese curry sauce. Fish and chips nice. Good little play area for kids.
Food was lovely. Had the black and blue burger and bread and butter pud for dessert. Will deffo be back. The waiter Josh was a sweetheart and made sure we were well looked after
