Stayed for 1 night in room 7 , really great, massive room, more like a suite with an extra bed hidden round the corner for the wife that snores, it was our dogs birthday and he loved all the extra special touches. The pub is excellent and so was the roast. Very happy with our night away at the White Hart. Parking: Great service
Just had a fabulous late breakfast here in front of a roaring log fire, absolutely perfect on such a wet and dismal day. Two Full English and a 'mix and match' breakfast for the fussy eater were beautifully cooked by Chef Jordan and served with a smile by Bertie and Jacqui. We'll be back to try the dinner menu next week!
A beautiful traditional building in lovely village of South Harting. My wife and I dined with our 2 dogs and we had a great welcome from the staff. Food was great and had a great Malbec.Food: 4/5
Lovely little pub/resturant and b&b. Rooms were comfortable with modern amenities including sub chargers which was great. Country pub atmosphere and very friendly and accommodating staff. Breakfast was lovely and told thebfood in general is really goodFood: 4/5
Very enjoyable burger, chips and a pint, although a little annoyed at 12.5% service charge being automatically added to the bill. When queried an offer was made to take it off we declined to do so, however a far better customer experience & 5 stars would have been achieved if it was optional.
Not sure what Karen was smoking while leaving her review below, but we stayed at the White Hart this past August and it was great overall. The room was beautiful, extremely clean, spacious with a great soaking tub and a separate shower. As an added bonus, the room had lots of extra perks like phone chargers, grooming kits, plenty of various coffee, cookies and snacks! The hosts were extremely accommodating. The garden is very nice and the food was good. Highly recommend!
Still a favourite pub if mine. Good food, nice wines, could do with a better selection of beers. S. Harting is a jewel mind. Pop in. Enjoy the warming fires and a mulled Guinness.
Nice garden. Went for drinks but extremely rude landlord said there was no food being served unless a booking had been made. Also, refused to give me a drinks menu and told me to just go to the bar and order. Picked up the menu myself, and quickly decided to go elsewhere to spend my money where the staff are respectful. Reading other reviews it looks like the manager's attitude has been an issue for other guests. Maybe he should stay away from the public areas before he drives all business away.
Would be a higher rating except for sneaky 12.5% service charge added to a simple bar meal and drinks total.
