Stayed here one night with a friend. Room was freezing cold but soon warmed up when I switched on the heater and borrowed a fan heater from another room. Comfortable if a little tired looking. Could not get hot water out of the shower in the morning. The bath worked, but not enough hot water for 2 baths! Dinner was good and breakfast was delicious. Lovely old features in main building. Overall good but a tad overpriced.

Foods amazing. Staff friendly and knowledgeable of the local area. Comfy rooms. Especially the stable rooms. Highly recommended to anyone wanting a quiet weekend away.

No hot water. Stay here if you don't mind cold showers, but for me a decent bed and shower is a minimum requirement. If a hotel can't even provide that they have no business being a hotel. Otherwise it would have been quite a nice place. The rooms are oldy worldy. Decent breakfast. I wouldn't stay again though.

I have stayed here a few times on business whilst working in Welwyn. Can definitely recommend, the restaurant food is all of a high quality. Breakfast the same, the cooked breakfast always made fresh to order. Would recommend a stable room.

Excellent food and very cozy atmosphere. Great for a date. Maybe not so much for bringing children there
