Holiday cottage not hotel, in Cornwall so small village with Spar shop and pub next door. Nice area, easy to get to from main road, cottage in heart of village. excellent decor and finish to aquality standard. Back for second time! Secure garden for dogs to play in and stone floor in kitchen/ diner area to have them in. Excellent local and cottage. Big spa bath for those yet to experience it, a must to relax in! Ladies this is for you!! Overall will book again and again!
First visit a few weeks ago, lovely welcome.
This hotel is 100% a diamond in the ruff! When you park up and walk into the bar you straight away think local bar I'm not welcome please dont let me sit in John's seat however I did not have a drink here!. JUst the impression I got as I walked in from the 2 guys smoking outside Who when I said hello the reply was how do as they looked at the floor! However when the bar maid took me upstairs to show me my room I was pleasantly surprised! The room was immaculate! It was well presented and very understated! I'd 100% stay here again it was very spacious and there was plenty of tea and coffee. It was clean and tidy! Television had all of the channels and I was under no pressure to leave in the morning! I'd 100% recommend to anyone and next time I stay I'll have a drink and update of the locals are welcoming!
Just spent a week at The White Hart and can't praise it enough. After paying very reasonable rates, we were given a 5 star service. John and Suzy run a tight ship and work closely with their staff, a real team. Our room was clean and comfortable, breakfast more than ample and the evening meals were great. The roasts, Sunday and midweek were the best we've had in a long time. The bar was well stocked and glasses sparkling clean. Keep up the good work.
This Hotel was the worse we have ever stayed in. Room was poorly decorated, badly furnished. The bathroom had holes in the wall where the towel rail should have been, there were no shelves in the shower to put anything and the bath mat should have been thrown away weeks ago. The door kept sticking and I had to pull on the door closing mechanism at the top of the door to release it. The old fashioned bed had corners which we knocked our legs on and had to place pillows over to protect our knees. Breakfast was terrible - we only requested a light breakfast which came as a bowl of muesli and three pieces of white toast plus butter and some spreads. A light breakfast is usually a continental one. Outside the premises were a wreck - completely unloved. I fear the owners will be bankrupt very soon. We planned to look for other accommodation, but my wife had an accident while out walking and we had to return home - but oh what a disappointing three days. At £80 a night room only it was a disgrace.
Stayed for one night, the rooms are good sized,tv and tea and coffee making facilities. Our room had an en suite. The room wasn't overly clean, needed a good dust and cobwebs everywhere. My partner went to use the shower and the door fell off then the towel rail came away from the wall. We didn't have an evening meal but breakfast was lovely and very reasonably priced. The landlady was lovely and chatty. This hotel is ok if you just need somewhere as a base or to get your head down.
A lovely pub with very friendly owners, set in a beautiful village.Rooms: 5/5
Terrible accommodation, wonderful village. Not hotel status in my eyes. The room was not clean when we arrived, shower was cold, cobwebs everywhere and never did they turnover the room. Our bins where never emptied, the coffee cups started getting mouldy and the beds had finger nails inside. Our towels where never changed and when we arrived they couldn't take our payment despite us having cash, they wanted to take card payment which I blocked and the next day they went into our room. I first thought to they went on to clean the room having left our door open. I then paid cash and never saw them again for the rest of the stay. When we tried to get an iron in the morning there was nobody to assist. The chair in our room was broken and when they came to take it out we noticed more dirt on the floor with broken chunks of wood that they didn't clean. Considering I had a 2year old you would think health and safety but they didn't. We soon left a day earlier than we where ment too, it spoiled our holiday and would never go back. No sense of safety or comfort at all!
We stayed here in June 2019. This is a beautiful cottage. We are desperate to visit again & once we are allowed to book holidays & travel we will most definitely stay here again, its most definitely home from home. It's in a beautiful area of Cornwall although a car is a must.Rooms: 5/5
Great room bed comfortable, food great and they are dog friendly. Asked if they could cook me some chicken for dog and it was no problem. Friendly local and nicebar.Very friendly owners and staff nothing too much trouble.recommend will stay here again
