Venue: Offering a relaxed and welcoming pub setting with sofas and a fire place , adjoined by a stylish dedicated restaurant with tall ceilings. Good amount of parking , outdoor seating and nice toilets. Food: Classic gastro options ensuring there’s a dish for everyone without being overly ambitious or adventurous. Food is of a high standard that won’t disappoint , arguably a bit expensive but excellent cocktails that shouldn’t be overlooked.
Had lunch with friends a couple days ago. Delicious freshly cooked food eaten in the garden area. The fish and chips was one of the best I've eaten. Great service and relaxed atmosphere. Compliments to the chef & all the staff. Recommended.
Incredible roast dinner if you're looking for a restaurant in Esher. It gets very busy so make sure you book to avoid disappointment. We had to sit outside and food service was slow because of this.
Had Sunday lunch for the first time here as a guest, and I was very disappointed with my roast beef. Very fatty. The rest was just OK. Was expecting a lot more for the prices. Other guests in the party also not very impressed. The children said the burgers were good though.
A good roast dinner but confusion about orders, dish we ordered not served, dish we did not order served. Should have had two plates of veg for our group and only got one. Bill contained an item we did not order. Staff friendly though and one waitress working particularly hard. I should add that it was very busy and mistakes happen but we all enjoyed the food and atmosphere. We mentioned the errors and they were accepted in good spirit. 4 stars is still good.
Busy Sunday and since we had not booked we were lucky to get a table outside at first. After getting our drinks and a bowl of water for our dog the very friendly waitress came back out and offered us a table inside since some guests had left early. Starters arrived very quickly and was delicious salt & pepper squid and a Carrot and chickpeas salad The mains were as good as the starters. Very tasteful and lovely display of the food. Also good size portions as we were hungry. All and all a 5 star experience in a cosy and friendly environment. Thumbs up also for the parking at the back.
Book for 3.00pm Xmas lunch. After waiting for 2 hours eventually at 5 pm first course arrived. It took another 45 min for main course. They got the orders wrong too. All customers were complaining. Very Bad management . I felt sorry for the waiting stuff though . The food was good but we were too stress after waiting for 2 hours to enjoy it.
Greeted by a lovely young woman, then handed over to a waitress with all the charm of a slug. Asked for a jug of water. It arrived with dirt looked like mould around the spout. She looked disgusted when we dared to ask for a clean jug. Carried it to the table with her thumb in the water and slammed it down. She must have gone off to have a meltdown because she was replaced by a pleasant chap. The menu was limited. The food was mediocre. Prices were okay for the area. The service could have been far better. Such a shame because the decor is beautiful and we were really looking forward to it.
A disappointing lunch- we ordered via the app at the table in the bar. The main courses came before the starters and when I complained, the server just said that she had been told we had asked for all the food to be served at once. No offer of compensation or an apology. So that spoilt the whole lunch.
Had lunch at this pub with a group of 10 . The food is fantastic . Best in the area . Wonderful , helpful staff and great atmosphere.
