Lovely pub in the middle of Downham Market whilst visiting the area.nLarge indoor and outdoor seating areas.nBar service poor, ignored for a good 2 minutes, not even a hello, won't be a minute, just ignored whilst staff catered for on line orders, when eventually served it was very slow not what your used to from the manchester area.nFood and drinks delivered to the table were prompt and fantastic, hour and tasty and all correct.nOverall great pub friendly staff eventually, good food and drink typical weatherspoon prices.nWill call again.
Nice spoons in downham market, not to busy had a nice breakfast here
Went in on Sunday 3rd May 2026 with my grandchildren and service dog. The Manager Michael asked for proof that my dog was a service dog, which I gave him. He read the card back and front then said he wanted to see the certificate that proves my dog has been trained. I told him that what I have given him is legal and he needs nothing else. I explained my dog comes to the hospital, GPs, Dentist and shops. He is well known in Tesco Wisbech. He said it was the policy and I had to show him all documents.nWe were kicked out. My grandchildren were upset about this as they were looking forward to a meal.nnI believe you are part of Weatherspoons, and have been to 3 Weatherspoons with him. My card was checked and we ate. While my dog lay quietly.nnI find the way we were treated was disgusting and humiliating. Your staff in Downham need to be trained better on the law and when askedfir a copy of the policy, supply it, which I was refused.
Service good, delivery time good, drinks good, burgers good everything good but not enough chips, the cheapest item in a supermarket is a potatoe, the cheapest item Mr Weatherspoons has in his kitchens, we got 7 chips each at the most...come on! this happens everywhere you go now not just Weatherspoons. There should be an option of supersize chips for £2 more, we're sick of these children's sized portions and were sick of these poxy silver buckets with 5 chips in, throw the buckets in the bin and fill the plate up!, the buckets don't look posh they look poor.
Probably the best spoons breakfast we have had. We may have been lucky looking at the other reviews. Very hot proper grilled tomato, good egg just perfect. Disabled toilet downstairs. Very small and steep staircase to main toilets. Staff all good. Not an amazing building for a spoons pub. Town centre location.nMorrisons supermarket and car park just behind the pub. Went back the following morning and same great breakfast, not a fluke.
