Lovely setting both inside and out. The staff were all very polite. Service was really slow and the restaurant wasn't busy which was an issue for us as we only had limited time, but if you're there for pleasure rather than a work meeting, this is less of an issue. The crispy beef salad was generous and delicious. Perfect for a hot sunny day on the deck area. Will definitely return.
Absolutely loved going here again on a date night with my husband. All the staff especially our waiter was polite, welcoming and happy. The food was 1st class and service was second to none. We didn't have to wait very long at all for the food and drinks we ordered, and the restaurant was very busy. Will definitely look forward to going there again! Xx

Maybe I caught them on an off day. Starter popcorn chicken. The taste of the chicken was lost and was quite dry. Bacon chop. The apple sauce, I think it was apple but had very little flavour. The apple and ginger crumble was too sweet & I couldn't taste any ginger coming through. These are all minor grumbles, my 4 colleagues had no complaints at all so don't let my comments put you off trying this place. The service and staff were exceptional & it is nice to find a car park with plenty of spaces.

My first time here was back in December and I had the amazing The feedback from my friends was just "ok" and I didn't understand why until yesterday. The risotto was full of butter no other flavors. Crispy Pork Belly, bland not crispy! Fritters full of salt. Oyster mushroom was raw, uneatable. Terrible experience.
Although the food and the staff were very pleasant, there were several things that made me give a 2 star rating which is quite rare for me. Firstly the room was very cold and despite this being mentioned to the waitress nothing was changed. Secondly, the wait for food was nearly an hour after we arrived, and thirdly the beer that is was served had a best before date that was two months out of date this was rectified by the waitress. This establishment is usually so much better than today's experience, which quite surprised me.

The food standard is way above the average pub meal. Cooked with care, presented beautifully and an imaginative menu. Service was excellent, both efficient and friendly. We were a group of 10 who just turned up on Saturday and the staff were extremely helpful and made a large table for us. We shall return. 4 stars for atmosphere, it was so busy, I know why, the food is so good. But we had a quiet alcove.
Enjoyed my meal, would return. Great atmosphere as it was really busy during the run up to Christmas. Staff are friendly and attentive. The food is classic country pub style and although not totally mind blowing I think for the price it's good value.
