About

Welcome to The Wave Centre, Entertainment and Conference Centre situated in the lovely seaside town of Maryport, on Cumbria’s West Coast.

Story

This is a revolutionary £3.3million Entertainment and Visitor Centre. The complex features a 234 seater theatre/cinema, ( 300 standing) with state of the art acoustics and lighting equipment. The theatre can be divided in two with soundproof partitions for a smaller more intimate venue. It’s a multi functional space that can be used for local shows, professional performances, concerts, award ceremonies, training events, conferences , weddings , parties etc and has a cinema screen, to show new, old films and programmes.

The Wave is also home to the fantastic Clip n Climb Maryport and Cave at the Wave!

Lovely themed soft play and excited to try the climbing wall once my kids are a little older. The basic refreshments bar/cafe is really handy to grad a cheap coffee for me and a drink or snack to keep the kids going. Love that the soft play teaches about the local area and history.
My 5 year olds first time doing clip n climb yesterday, Mike was a fantastic instructor, he really encouraged my son who was pretty nervous, without his encouragement my son wouldnt of had the experience he had. Mike seemed to have a natural way of encouraging the little kids which made a lasting impression, my son has asked to go back and wants to go when 'that funny man' will be there.nAlso, the lady on reception/cafe is always so welcoming, the staff in this centre are always so busy covering multiple areas but nothing is ever too much trouble and they are all always so pleasant.nMy son also loves the softplay, its clean and well maintained and a decent size makingbit good value for money.
I joined the gym about 3 weeks ago and love it. The instructors at Maryport are all very professional and really know their stuff. I like how they vary routines and adapt to clients needs. There is a good balance of classes on offer. The gym is also very clean and well organised.nSome coat hooks in the ladies cloakroom would be handy.
For the price you can't go wrong. Would recommend booking ahead of time via the better web page, as it can get busy. Plenty of climbing activities for all ages and we'll supervised.
Called up to ask if soft play was on due to an error on website. Female colleague stated it was all a glitch and it's available. Got all 4 toddlers ready, to turn up to the desk to be told there was a school booking. Bad communication.
