About

Welcome to The Wave Centre, Entertainment and Conference Centre situated in the lovely seaside town of Maryport, on Cumbria’s West Coast.

Story

This is a revolutionary £3.3million Entertainment and Visitor Centre. The complex features a 234 seater theatre/cinema, ( 300 standing) with state of the art acoustics and lighting equipment. The theatre can be divided in two with soundproof partitions for a smaller more intimate venue. It’s a multi functional space that can be used for local shows, professional performances, concerts, award ceremonies, training events, conferences , weddings , parties etc and has a cinema screen, to show new, old films and programmes.

The Wave is also home to the fantastic Clip n Climb Maryport and Cave at the Wave!

Been quite a few times when the kids were younger and had loyalty card which was stamped up think its four visit's fifth one free . Went a week ago and couldn't find the phone number to book via telephone it's all online and the administration has been taken over by a charity called better no provision to use the loyalty voucher online so had to pay and create a account and download the better app .nYou can still use the loyalty voucher and they still stamp the cards but how do you use them if it's all online to book ?nnMy youngest still enjoyed his climbing session and whilst driving home he said the door handle wall auto belaying device dropped about a meter at the top of the wall before it caught him and started to lower him slowly back down .nnClimbing a Great activity for kids well worth a visit if you can manage to book online .
Today we took our grandson to clip and climb, only to find it closednnOn website it says it is open, but with fences all around there was no way innnVery disappointed
The kids absoloutly loved this place.. such a great place to give them confidence in heights and climbing .. The staff are super friendly .
Booked climbing wall for boys birthday. All boys had excellent time. Staff very patient and attentive with all boys, Encouraging and attentive ensuring safety at all times.nParty food very much appreciated and fully eaten though poor service at the cafe bar for parents/visitors also poor/limited choice of refreshments.
We had a lovely time I. The soft play area. Very small and intimate setting, I don't think it's suitable for anyone over the age of 9 as the apparatus is small
