Food on the carvery had been kept for a while under the warming lights. Had to dig a little to find the fresher looking veg. Bit of a wait to get served despite it being quite. Main meal was nothing to write home about. The pudding was Devine tho. I think the clock tower carvery is better tbh.

No carvery on and very very disappointing service tonight. My wife's alternative was served incorrectly without the pulled pork. When it came back the pulled pork was not heated properly being cold in places. We have eaten here regularly since it opened and this evening was the worst experience...let's hope only a blip but afraid tonight 1 star is all it deserves and that is only for Daniel trying to rectify the initial error. Staffing issues should not be the consumer's issue!

Unfortunately today's visit was disappointing. Not only a massively long wait on food in a not so busy pub. The carvery was just ok, the carrots were dry and unappetising. The food when it came wasn't warm, and the child's meal was served last, also with the sad looking carrots. Not going to be rushing back. The only plus was the meat was nice from the carvery.

Originally I was going to give 3☆ but I changed to 4☆ . We only went in for a drink and a dessert. Everything was fine until 10 minutes after paying. We were told one of the desserts was still frozen. We picked a different one. And then they gave us the frozen one to take away with us, free of charge. 4☆ because I felt they did the right thing.

Nice friendly bar staff, quick and professional. We had carvery, nice choice and plenty if you wish, could of been hotter.
