Dog friendly pub with lovely food, friendly staff. If you have children be select where you sit as we sat near the tap room and because there is just a doorway into the tap room you can occasionally here the locals "effin-and jeffin" ( it's a local after all) but if we were in the area again we would certainly come back again. NOTE If you are visiting the salt museum opposite, the food at the museum is non existent !

Good food, interesting pub. We moored not too far from the pub and even though it was dark it was easy to get to the pub from the canal. The menu had quite a variety and I chose fish and chips. To say it was the largest fish I had been served in a restaurant is no exaggeration. Must go back the next time I find myself in Northwich.

Sunday lunch on mother's day. Very enjoyable. Great food. Great pub.great people. Recommended.

A glorious Cheshire pub, situated opposite the Lion Saltworks outside Northwich in Cheshire. We had our standard 'pub grub tester' of fish and chips - did NOT disappoint! Some very pleasant and unusual craft ales present. Well worth a day out and a pleasant, relaxed pub meal.
