Sign of a good restaurant when you have to queue to get in. Well worth standing in a queue, though. Amazing fish and chip shop both for sitting in and for takeaway, best in the area. The staff are very friendly and you are not rushed. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Even do pensioners special, which is a good portion size.Food: 5/5
This is my 3rd visit here. Myself and the two other people I was with all need to eat gluten free. The restaurant have separate friers for gluten free. We all had fish and chips. The batter on the fish was amazing! The fish was super fresh, really thick and tasty. Very competitive prices too..... The staff were really lovely and very efficient. We would highly recommend this place, especially if you're after a gluten free meal. We recommend the fish and chips... yummy Thanks for a superb meal. really nice crispy fish fillets with a nice crunchy batter. the chips however were lackluster quite soggy and could’ve been crispier. there is seating inside as well as benches across the road. quick service in a nice clean chippyFood: 4/5
Takeaway fish and chips, good value, nice generous portion of chips! £8.50 for a cod and chips. Staff are friendly, easy to order, they accept cash or card. There are some benches across the road. Or, what I like to do especially when it’s minus 2 is to eat in the car! With the view of the North Sea Low Lights car park nearby is free and perfect for a walk alone the promenade after devouring your fish and chips.
I feel lucky finding this little gem in North Shields. Fresh fish really nice and natural chips. Good prices. You can eat in the restaurant inside or on an outside bench with a table. They sell coffee, other drinks and ice-cream. Plenty of parking space and nice walk by the fisheries.
Best value in the North. Never had bad food here. Service is effective but not faffy or pretentious. Staff have time for you. Nothing to criticise. Keep it up.Food: 5/5
Went here with my family for a take away not my first time and has always been very good and will be back again , definitely recommend this place . Forget to take pictures of food as we were all starving. Been back again 2/1/24 got a table this time same again lovely and will return again Been back again today 14/4/24 all plates cleared again
Superb fish & chips and great service in a traditional fish & chip restaurant setting. Lemon Sole and Cod both cooked beautifully, with lovely, large flakes of fish.Food: 5/5
The absolute best fish and chips the staff are amazing so helpful efficient full of happiness had a lovely bottle of white wine to chill out.. sticky toffee pudding to follow happy days.. All very reasonably priced.. Big thankyou to the best in the northeast.. Food: 5/5
