Lovely atmosphere on entering. Window seats looking out across the promenade and out to sea. Background music wasn't too loud, which meant you could speak and be heard without shouting. The decor was welcoming and clean. Plenty of beverage choice to suit all tastes. The staff were friendly and helpful. Food is ordered at the bar, reasonably priced and was served to the table in a timely fashion. I would recommend, and use the eatery again.
Love this place. Outside when it's dry is great to just watch the world go by , in the sun when it's busy is a different place , full of people having a drink and a laugh. Then when the weather is grim you can always find somewhere inside to sit and meet up with friends for a chat. Rugby days are busy , may need to book a table, the atmosphere is great whenever. Well done Waterfront.

Decided to visit Porthcawl last Sunday as a family. Thought we would find somewhere to eat and decided on the Waterfront. We all had Sunday lunch and it was surprisingly good. The wine was very nice too.Food: 5/5
We only used the pub, and it was lovely! Really clean, cosily lit and done out beautifully in brick and wood. Very clean and up to date toilets. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. We arrived on Sunday evening and most places were closed or closing. They had stopped serving food but told us all the places that would still be open. We liked the overall atmosphere of the place and will be a definite stop next time we are in the area.
An very pleasant evening at the Waterfront, Porthcawl with good food and smooth Guinness. 16 oz gammon steak and a juicy 10 oz ribeye with creamy peppercorn sauce enjoyed with first class service from friendly and down to earth staff all on a beautiful balmy evening with a stunning sunset to finish it off. You could possibly find pub food as good elsewhere but not likely better. Plenty of car parking within a 2 minute walk And if you're lucky on the street. Excellent wheel chair access and facilities and tables in front within the walled terrace so passers by not imposing. The bar restaurant has bi-fold French style doors which are open on beautiful days like today providing a nice cool relaxing atmosphere.
