Lovely atmosphere, warm & welcoming. Very tasty slow cooked beef Sunday dinner, served on warm plates. Good portions. Attentive staff, good beer. Looking forward to a Christmas turkey roast dinner in December. Highly recommend.

Lovely place,clean & tidy. Staff were fantastic,the landlord was so welcoming,made you feel like a local,reasonable priced for the area. I would recommend and definitely go back for another overnight stay

We arrived and went and sat at our table in the small back room, which led onto the patio area. We had been sitting there for nearly 15 minutes and had to ask a young staff member for menus. This place could be a great place if the staff were more attentive to their customers instead of standing around at the bar giggling.nThe roast dinners that our family had were lovely, as was the lasagneapart from the garlic flatbread, which was soft,please bring back the proper garlic breadand lamb kofta One member of the family had the vegetarian sausage and fried onion baguette with fries. All looked lovely until they lifted up the baguette and found something that shouldn't have been on the plate. It was taken to the staff who were just going outside and they apologised and asked if we wanted them to replace it, well yes. When they returned with a fresh one, they apologised and said they had removed the meal from the bill, which they had.nSeveral people had desserts and enjoyed them, but I do think they are overpriced £9 for the size of them.nn* Please sort out your staff.nThey could be more attentive, checking back on customers, asking if they would like any more drinks, everything ok with the food, knowing what ales,wines, etc, you serve.nMaybe they need guidance from a senior member of staff?

Met clients here for a business breakfast. Absolutely stunning pub inside and out. I just wish I lived a bit closer and I reckon I'd be a local. We had the Walnut and vegetarian breakfast options and I must say they were rather magnificent.  Value for money and superbly  cooked.  Scott is an excellent host and a very amiable chap. Thoroughly recommend.

Great experience. 3 people, different meals, different taste, all left satisfied. I had the pot roast with vegetables and gravy with a flakiest puff pastry ever on top. It was phenomenal! Then for desert I had the messy one, with Berry compote, meringue and whipped cream. Both had wonderful flavors that complemented each other.
