This is a lovely pub house with some outdoor tables. It’s so leisure to sit between the green building and a grassland. The fish and chip is perfect and the fried onion is crispy enough. I really enjoyed the chocolate sundae too.
Very enjoyable in the carvery and a good family atmosphere. The pub side is great for the football but a different atmosphere as would be expected. Quality of food for carvery was excellent and I would recommend. I had Bakewell tart and ice cream for desert. Pastry soggy so hence one star knocked off but it sure did taste good.
When where flying from Manchester Airport we always stay at Best Western Pinewood Hotel & this place is about 10mins walk down the road. Its an excellent place to get really nice food, they have an extensive menu plus there's always the carvery to choose from, the staff are always very friendly everytime we have been in & have a very large outdoor play area for children
Ordering from the app is still hit or miss most of the time. Everything we got was ordered through the app and it came straight away after ordering apart from pudding. We waited nearly 40 minutes for ice cream and then saw all of the kitchen staff leaving and one of the other staff members had to make them for us instead. I would say this isn't exactly the staffs fault and more down to the app most likely. The food was quite nice and the Jack Daniels BBQ sauce is definitely go to for sauce. The starters we got were all nice. We had chicken strips, halloumi, and the new battered sausage with bacon wrapped around it.
We went here last night,I’ve got to say I am very disappointed the table we was seated at was dirty, we had a car very and the only thing that was Edible was the broccoli, the staff was very poorly dressed and didn’t show any sign of professionalism, we then took our 18 month old in to the wacky warehouse where it was freezing and one of the workers sons was in the under5s area being very boisterous bearing in mind he was around 10 years old then I went in to the toilet where the worker had just been for a number two that stunk like a Sewerage and she didn’t even wash her hands as the sinks was bone dry, the toilet roll holding unit was broke. I suggest the managers of this place both in the pub and wacky warehouse give the staff some serious training because I would never go back to this place and will certainly tell my friends and family to avoid this place at all costs.
Very Happy. Excellent service. My son and his carer come here. We are relatively new customers and I’m so happy with the food and service, that I will be making sure my son comes here for his healthy hearty lunch to carry him through his busy afternoon of play. Lisa has been especially nice and welcoming. She is extremely patient on the phone and really helpful answering any questions even though you can hear how busy it is in the background she has been very nice and explaining things and not in a rushed or impatient way as to get you off the phone. So thank you for this Lisa it makes the world of difference to know that your needs are cared for. My son has additional and complex needs and this place has very good experience with young people and adults whom I believe return there on a regular basis and I believe they always try to cater for this as far as trying to make sure that you have your same seating each week. Although I do understand that ...if you don’t book ...this might not always be possible as other people will be dining too. I have been sent photos of my son tucking into his hearty food with beautiful looking vegetables and even down to the sauce included dishes have been served on a separate dish! This is 5*****s for me because to know how important this can be to somebody with additional needs means so much to my heart to know how important that is and to put this into place just means the world to me that our children’s and adults needs are really taken care of and that they understand and more to the point “care” So huge thank you for this everyone xx There is also a slush machine that works very well as a “special surprise/treat/reward” or bribe lol for good behaviour We will be a regular from now even though we live miles away, you can’t beat the service and friendliness and good food that you get here Brilliant well done and keep up the fabulous work xx
Went here for Sunday lunch whilst staying at Best Western Plus Pinewood as it's only 5mins away by car. There was no room left in the eating area, so we sat in the back darts room, which we didn't mind, we were jjpt hungry. The food is OK, the beef tho not tough, wasn't very tasty. The chicken wasn't much better, but the gammon was better, and pretty tasty. The veg were all tasty and well cooked. The only negative side was the locals who were making continuous comments to me and the missus, although they were pretty harmless, it's not what you want when you're trying to eat your Sunday lunch!
Following a successful visit to Wacky Warehouse we decided to have lunch out in the pub. Had a toddler with us. A good selection of food for them. Adult menu was good too. The daily carvery looked and smelled good. We didn't choose that though.
Absolute farce. Ordered a cavery, went to put pepper on my meal. The lid fell off the pepper pot and landed in my meal along with 90% of the pepper. Complained to a staff member. Her response was to present me this another plate to scrape the still edible bits of my meal onto. It's a shame because the actual chef was lovely.
Amazing food and staff! Atmosphere great!
