A really cool place in the centre of Wilmslow. It may have to decide a direction. People turned up to watch football just as the DJ was warming up, a bit of a clash. Great for pre dinner drinks and post dinner partying.
Very friendly lovely atmosphere great to relax have a nice time.
Football great nice staff they sell san Miguel defo go there again
Well I only drank the cider and that was nice. I didn't drive there but if you do, make sure you enter your registration number on the little console on the bar or you'll get fined apparently. Nothing to do with pub but their car park is privately owned by a parking company.
Food nice and the guy behind the bar was really friendly. The only thing that let it down was the lady serving the food - never smiled once. Also, we set outside for 1 1/2 hours and at least 5 tables had people leave having eaten, but tables not cleaned once - chairs just put up as though had been. Tables inside had signs on to say they were clean. Not sure would feel comfortable going back at the moment.
We visited on a Sunday at around 4pm. My partner and I thought we would take his mum and gran for some food, glad we did. The service was fantastic, so friendly and welcoming. We ordered 4 main meals. 2 of the steak burgers, 1 pie oh my, and a chicken roast for myself. We really enjoyed them, so full of flavour and beautifully presented. I then ordered the brownie... Wow! I don't have a clue how I fit it all in but glad I did, it was amazing. And to top it off, there was a live musician playing, he was fab, just wish I had asked his name. Overall, with the service, the atmosphere, and the food... 10/10 we would definitely recommend. Thank you for such a lovely afternoon.
This place has character. Seating at the bar is a welcome touch. Could do with a better beer selection, IMO, but it's not outrageously priced and the food is great. Real Buffalo wings with blue cheese dip is a rare find in this town. Definitely come by.
Lovely pub, very friendly staff, nice Sunday dinner, spot on
Good ambience and good food but is it a burger if you cant eat it like a burger? This review is purely based on what I ordered, which was the burger. No doubt, it was delicious. Double patty and juicy. But it fell apart as soon i took the first bite. Maybe a bit too juicy? I don't mind a burger falling apart, as long as its served on a plate. Which it was not. It was served on a wooden platter. ?, barely the width of the burger itself. So, I had to ask for an extra plate to catch all the bits. This aside, the place is great. Good food options and a great drinks menu. With ample onsite parking, this is a great choice if you are in Wilmslow.
Great menu, lots of good choices, great quality and portion sizes. Phenomenal value for Wilmslow where we have become used to spending nearly £100 for two and coming away hungry. That won't happen here! Only go for three courses if you have had, or will have, nothing but snacks for the rest of the day. This is proper food in generous portions. We will be back!
