A nice pub, decent drinks and good food. Only one slight negative: I booked a table for 6pm, and then was advised on arrival that the kitchen was closed as another large booking had ordered a buffet. So we couldn't order any food for quite some time until the kitchen had opened. The staff were unfailingly polite about it, but I do think that if you make a booking at 6pm, they should warn you if the kitchen will be closed. They must have known in advance so why not just make it clear when booking.
Well located 1 minute walk from Marylebone High Street. Very modern rooms accessible from separate side entrance to pub. Back rooms very quiet, discount offered on front rooms due to some daytime building works. Short 15 minute walk from public parking outside of congestion charge zone to save a bit of cash.
Classic Victorian pub in the heart of London! Lively and away from the hustle of Central London but within walking distance of many of London's iconic places.Service: 5/5
Very different after a refurb, the beer is cheap for the area and if you take your dog you get 10% off, love it!
Nice place. Nice advice from Max. Really good Wagyu beef :D I recommend
Great old-style, “proper” pub. We went in to watch the football and rugby as it has good tv screens. Fantastic hospitality and totally different to the “trendier” pubs on Marylebone High Street. Well worth a visit.
Baker Street  £6.10 Estrella A welcoming traditional Marylebone pub. . The Gunmakers is located in the backstreets of Marylebone and is a ten minute walk from Baker Street tube station. On my walk here, I went for a stroll through tranquil Paddington Street Gardens where local residents stretch their legs, play table tennis and relax on benches dotted around the park. . This pub was built in 1881 and has had a few name changes over the years, it was once The William Wallace for all you Braveheart fans out there. The pub closed for a couple years and reopened in 2019 and hasn’t looked back. . The decor here is traditional, this pub due to its footprint has a cosy feel to it. The seating is red leather banquettes and stools, the bar area is a good size so no queuing at the ramp. Around the walls are pictures of Victorian scenes and Sir Winston Churchill takes pride of place on the back wall. This boozer also has a private function room and six guest bedrooms. . The beer choice is full of commercial favourites with one cask option available. I had an agreeable pint of Estrella, price point was average for the area and the service was good. The menu is quintessentially British, Fish & Chips costs £14.50. . I loved the ambiance here, I visited on a Sunday lunchtime and there was a lovely local neighbourly feel to the place. The pub had a dozen or so punters in and we were all glued to the TV watching the Wimbledon Mens final. . I really enjoyed my visit here and the @gunmakershouse makes for a relaxing pub experience. Definitely a pub for one and all, this is a superb London pub. . ℹ Info correct on visiting 10/07/22
Great food, lovely atmosphere and reasonable prices considering the location. Only reason not getting 5 stars was no draft ales at allRooms: 4/5
Excellent accommodation, very clean. The staff we met were friendly and helpful and the bar food is really good. The location is also perfect. Thanks Gunmakers. Definitely coming back.
Small fancy and clean hotel with a cozy pub in it
