I hated it every time I needed to visit this practice, but I stuck with it for around15 years! Nearly always made to feel like I was a nuisance, topped off during COVID by a high unprofessional GP who acted out her extreme stress and frustration during her appointment with me - having asked me to come in that afternoon, but with no memory of why she had, and dismissing a large lump as non-existent! I then moved on...
It is difficult to get hold of anyone in this practice, as they will not supply any method of electronic communication. I asked for one and was told that all patients must telephone only. Often there are long queues on the phone during which you have to listen to long pre-recorded messages, including two, telling you that abuse will not be tolerated . It is impossible to get hold of them in any way other than the phone, as they have also turned off the messaging service that accompanies the on-line booking system. I can't believe this in 2021. My dentist's reception has had an email address for over 20 years. They do need to supply an alternative method of electronic contact. What if you want to send a URL to your GP to explain what you have read up on about your condition? I needed to do this once had to print everything out wasting paper. Regarding the long wait on the phone; whereas I certainly DON'T approve of any sort of abuse, I think it is probably no wonder that some people get frustrated and angry with the receptionists when they finally get through, after waiting for ages in a phone queue, every time they want to contact their local health-care provider, while also having to listen to the same long 'reprimand' about not being abusive each time they try to get through. Something needs to be done and I believe the admin here needs a rethink, so you can get in touch with them when necessary. Regarding the GPS, I know who I like to speak to, and they are excellent and dedicated.
Awful GP surgery. Be careful registering with these. They fob you ff to 111with serious conditions, then write defamatory comments on your medical records. Avoid at all costs.
Whilst I appreciate and empathise it would be lovely to get that in return. Dreadful bedside manner no wonder my blood pressure was up. However I continue to treat people as I’d expect to be treated.
Absolute joke trying to get an appointment here.
Awful appointment system. Compete disdain towards Patients. Dread everytime I need to contact this Surgery. Patient User Experience is given no regard whatsoever.
Almost impossible to get through to ask for an appointment and then seem reluctant to see you
