Nice old authentic pub/restaurant. Great food and good portions.nBeen here 3-4 times and have never been let down.

Hands down our very favorite place in Shanklin to enjoy a good meal and few drinks with our family and friends. Great ambience, super friendly staff, and delicious drinks and food. I cannot wait to return.

The ambiance here is cozy and inviting. The charming fireplace and wooden benches create a warm atmosphere, while the mosaic-style lights add a unique blend of rustic and art deco vibes.

Nice traditional British pub in the heart of Shanklin’s old village. They’re is a nice outdoor seating area at the back of the venue. The indoor tables are almost always booked. Reserve in advance if you can. The food was pretty good. The pork ribs and the crab and lobster soups were really good. The service was a bit slow. But the staff was really polite and accommodating.

Had the fish burger with chips and coleslawnAnd the lasagne with salad and garlic bread.nAll I can say was it was absolutely incredible, one of the best fish burgers and lasagne I've ever had. Being someone that lives in London and tries alot, this was not only the best I've had in the UK but the best I've had internationally even the lasagne was so much better than the ones I've had in Italy!nEven the garlic bread is stunning, fresh garlic butter with parsley and the bread is brilliant, soft and melt in your mouth on the instead and the perfect crisp crunch crust.nHonestly hats off to the chef.nWe loved it so much that we've sat here waiting for space to open up in our tummies to go ahead and eat more!nI've never given a full five stars, but everything here was amazing, from the wonderful service, so friendly and attentive, to the beautiful food and the great atmosphere.nWish we were staying in isle of Wight longer, so we could come back here!nWould've loved to try their lunch options including the cream tea made fresh by their Baker in house.nHope to come back soon again!
