First off, you walk into this pub and it’s simply stunning. The details in the bar and the entire room are just amazing. A cheerful hello soon followed and we were seated at a table by a charming fireplace. We quickly ordered some tasty drinks and then met the pub dogs which, as dog lovers, was a huge plus in our book! The food was amazing. My meat pie was delicious and my husband’s chicken was juicy and very tasty. My kids loved their meat and shepherd’s pies as well. We ordered three desserts and they were all outstanding. My sticky pudding was delicious. We enjoyed our time there so much that this will definitely go down as our favorite pub in London. Can’t wait to go back! This is a special spot!
Stopped here our first night in London, and absolutely loved it! Somehow we managed to find a table outside, and got to enjoy the warm weather. Our server was super friendly and took our orders even though it wasn't his job to do so. The food was great and the atmosphere was just nice to be around. Overall 5 star experience!Food: 5/5
Beautiful pub right next to Hyde park. Stopped in on a Monday for a late lunch and the place was bustling! We got the meat pie and fish and chips and both were amazing. Nice staff. Pet friendlyFood: 5/5
Lovely traditional pub. Great selection of drinks as well as food. The food is of an absolute great quality. As a local I can say that it’s definitely the best pub in the area. Stunning Sunday roast.Food: 5/5
My favourite London Pub with outside or inside dining choices. RESERVATIONS . Older than MANY countries. Brilliant. Real atmosphere. I hope one day to enter the pub like in Love Actually movie, and say with outstretched hands, "hello I'm from Canada" and see if I get a reaction.Food: 5/5
My favourite local pub! Over the past couple of years it gets more and more difficult to find a space here without reservation. But do me a favour, book and be amazed with absolutely incredible library rooms atmosphere for your food and drinks. Trout with young potatoes is such a delight here!Food: 5/5
Delightful pub. We had lunch on a Friday having the pie of the day Steak, ale & mushroom and the beef burger. Service was efficient and friendly. Also dog friendly. Would come back.Food: 5/5
Spent eight hours in this gorgeous pub for my birthday having lunch and staying for dinner. It's busy but cosy, and has a fantastic atmosphere. It's on a quiet street but not far from Paddington Station. The seating is comfy, the food was amazing I had shepherds pie for lunch which was devine and sharing platters for tea and the staff were so friendly and helpful. It was the perfect day and I'm really glad to have found this place. If you're in Paddington find this place, you won't regret it.
This place is quite amazing and exceeded my expectations when I booked a table for 2 the other day. Nice and artsy decorated inside and despite being Halloween week the seasonal additions were not overboard. We got there early at 5.30pm and by 7pm the place was getting very full. Service was efficient and the staff friendly, while the food was excellent pub fare with a twist and well-proportioned. Got the soup of the day as starter, then the supreme chicken with the mushroom sauce and to top it off the apple and blackberry crumble with cononut ice-cream. Everything looked and tasted delicious, just check the photos! Definitely recommended and will be visiting again soon.
Great pub in a convenient but not too busy area. Came on a Sunday night and, though it was busy, we didn’t have to wait long for a table to open up. Standard “order at the bar and food comes to your table” deal. My wife and I each had a different kind of Sunday roast and they were both very tasty. Selection of beers and ciders on tap was large and excellent. Prices are reasonable, staff is nice, ambiance is fun not rowdy. I’d gladly recommend it for a relaxed pint or a meal.
