Just registered my fluffy daughter here and have taken her in for her first appointment. Clean place with friendly staff. We saw Christos and he was perfect with both me and my dog. We spoke about her fear of fireworks #makefireworksillegal and he went through all the options with me. Great staff, well priced. Recommend this vets highly
Can’t thank them enough for looking after my Fluffy, my cat went in with a big nasty wound, after 10 different places said NO due to short staff.. they booked me in for the same day! Everyone there is absolutely lovely, thank you once again! Fluffy says Hi
The Vet clinic was very understanding supportive and professional. Thank you for helping us with such a difficult circumstance; the card in the post was a lovely touch x
We've been really happy with this clinic for our two cats until we got our puppy! First trip for a second booster jab went lovely, staff fussed over Bingo and she came away spoilt and happy to have been there. The vet that night was fantastic with her, engaging with her, gaining her trust and I'm sure in Bingo's mind is now a life long friend. The follow-up 4 weeks later for a 3rd booster jab didn't go quite to plan. We all went down with Bingo this time, myself my wife and my son. Reception staff were there usual friendly, lovely selves. The vet however that evening made the whole experience somewhat traumatic!! Paul his name was, did not interact or engage with Bingo once while I lifted her onto the table. Or infact as we walked into the room. Bingo's attention was solely on me when he began his examination, reaching to press her tummy. It made her jump, she gave a little growl and did a warning snap at him. He repeated this step twice more without attempting to speak to Bingo or reassure her. The told me to get my wife in the room, who was waiting outside. Once she was in the room he proceeded to tell us how dangerous our dog was, a cockapoo. Suggesting that we were not doing a good enough job of discipline or training either. The whole experience left my wife distraught that we had brought a dangerous dog into our home with our 6 year old and my son was now a little nervous about Bingo. Being from a family of dog owners and having grown up around dogs I knew this was nonsense and spent the two weeks following showing them that Bingo was not the dangerous dog she was portrayed to be. We had used a dog trainer before that vet visit. More to make sure we were doing the right things with her and pick up some tips for heel work. We explained to him what had happened and he was shocked the vet did and said what he did. We also then spoke to a few other dog trainers who all were shocked by the treatment we experienced. After recounting our experience with friends we have learnt that two of them have since switched vets after the same chap turned their visits into traumatic experiences too. To top it all off, during that visit I asked from what age we would be able to get Bingo spayed from. I was advised from 5 months old. During a visit to get our cats vaccinated I questioned with the vet not Paul, what age you can spay a dog from. He advised from 10 month and was shocked when I said we were advised it was from 5 months. Sadly this one vet has deeply marred our experience of this clinic and we are strongly considering switching vets too. I think we'll take Bingo one more time, likely when her nest booster is due and se how we get on. Will be requesting it not be Paul! I don't want our dog to grow up being afraid of the vets. And I'm hoping she will have forgotten leaving there in a nervous state when we next go. Hopefully giving her a reassuring, fun as fun as the vets can be, experience with lots of fusses.
Love this place, very friendly staff and vets. They have taken very good care of my fur babies. Thank you team
Re: English Bulldog Queenie We brought Queenie to you with lumps in her neck making it difficult for her to eat or drink, after a biopsy, she was diagnosed on 4th March with Lymphoma and the news was not good : , As we were looking after Queenie for my Mum who is also in I'll health, we were devastated!! Paul advised us to try to give Queenie the best time for her last weeks, treating her with steroids to reduce the swelling and to improve her quality of life!! Sadly on the 4th May, she hadn't eaten for 2 days. It was time to say goodbye . We brought her ashes home on 21st May, our other Bulldog "Mickey" misses her terribly, I think he knows she is here! Thank You to, Paul & Team for your care, treatment and compassion. Leigh " The Eggleton Family"
I have been going to The Vet Clinic since early 2020 after a bad experience at my previous vets. Throughout the pandemic, the nurses, staff and vets provided the best possible care for my three dogs. The staff are amazing at what they do and have really taken the time to get to know each of my pets and their personalities and quirks. One of my dogs is quite nervous but loves all of the fuss she gets from the staff. When we had to say goodbye to one, they treated us with the upmost compassion and allowed us to spend her final moments in private with her. I'm very grateful to be registered at this practice and recommend it to everyone.
I just registered my little cat at the practice and couldn’t be happier. The staff are all lovely. My cat was a bit sick after her spaying op and i got an appointment on the day to see them. They were so busy and we waiting for 30 minutes, I didn't mind and my cat was settled. When she was seen the vet couldn’t apologies more for the wait, and gave us our visit for free. Just charging for the meds. Couldn’t recommend more!
Have been coming here for 20+ years with considerably more trips in the last 2 years than ever before. The current team are fantastic, we lost our big American Bulldog boy Ralphy in Dec 2020 from cancer and he had many visits to the vets to keep him comfortable and monitored for the 5 months from diagnosis to him passing away. Even when we were on our way to have him PTS and he died in the car, the vets allowed me and my husband to come in and lay on the floor with him despite covid times until we were ready to leave him and their compassion in that awful time was hugely appreciated. I have just come back from registering our new American bulldog puppy and getting his jabs and a checkup, and the team are still fantastic with lots of cuddles and loves for Bono and good prices, inline with other vets. Thank you to all the staff, and we will see you in a month's time!
Awful service, push unnecessary costs on you when you don't need them and provide the wrong treatment to bring you back for extra cost. They prioritise profit over the pet owner needs.
