Four of us booked and came here for lunch we did not stay at the hotel. Very good service and quality, with friendly staff. Not particularly busy for our visit, though I gather evenings can be. Lovely location and beautiful buildings and grounds - outside dining available too. I first came here in 1976 when it was just a bar in a big run down house, now it is much more grand, and continues to be well worth a visit.
Food is quite simply, delicious! Everything is home made from scratch, including chutneys, jams, and sourdough. Comfortable and beautifully appointed with tremendous thought and care. The staff could not do enough for you and are friendly and smiley. Gardens are delightful and outside seating area is spacious and pleasant to pass the time in. A must eat and stay experience.
The restaurant is excellent. Menu is very balanced and well priced. Presentation is incredibly good. Portion sizes are spot on - enough to satisfy without over-filling you. All dishes were flavourful. We will definitely be backService: 4/5
Fabulous decor/styling, v luxurious. Food very good, expensive but good. Was v cold in the dining room but they brought us a heater - which was great! Really nice team of ladies.Service: 4/5
Went there for a wedding earlier this month. Staff were friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. Everything was run extremely efficiently. The canapes and sit down meal were delicious. A most enjoyable event.Service: 5/5
The website suggested there were a few tables free for dinner but no one answered the phone, so we turned up to be confronted by a corpulent woman, who insisted nothing was available. Not even at the bar. Service finished at 8.45pm, on a Saturday night which in itself speaks volumes so don’t have any expectations that you will be accommodated by these frigid people in the worst tradition of the excluding British lower middle class. I would not dine here even if it was the last place in town after such a poor reception. Go down to the Olive Tree where you will be welcomed and have good quality Italian.
We held the reception here after my father's funeral and it was perfect. The ambience inside is lovely, a comfortable, cosy bar area, a nice larger room where we ate with lots of tables and places to sit, a large table in the middle of the room where they served the buffet, masses of good quality, home made, tasty food, friendly, helpful, warm staff. Lots of parking space. Just outside Ledbury. Ideal.
Lovely place and nice ambience. However, limited and unimaginative menu and wine list and rather poor quality food with rather high prices. Second time I have tried it. First time I was slightly disappointed; this time very disappointed.
Dropped in for food & drinks. A lovely open fire, helpful staff & a cracking good meal. Definitely going back when around that area again.Service: 5/5
The attention to detail at this hotel is fabulous. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The rooms are impeccable and you even get a present I can’t say enough good stuff about this place. The setting is stunning. Could see the Malverns from my bedroom window The breakfast was to die for and I would love to dine there next time. I whole heartedly and without hesitation recommend this establishment to anyone with good taste and an appreciation of a well run hotel
