Breaded haddock over cooked and it was so well done I had to cut away the outer edges to get to the fish - I think it might have come out of a box. The meal was served on a sheet of paper on a wooden board. If I had wanted fish and chips from a paper, I would have gone to the chippy - The Vaults was recommended to us - If they are considered the best, all I can say is there cant be much in the way of competition.
We stop off for an hour with our supporters group. Delicious bowl of lentil soup and sandwiches. Quick service and lovely staff . Thank you.Food: 5/5
Great restaurant. Everything our party of four ordered was delicious and presented beautifully. We recommend the cream of veg soup, the haddock, and the sticky toffee especially. The staff were all delightful, and Tina even chatted with us and recommended a few stops for our trip. We hope to eat there again during our week stay nearby. It’s small and we lucked out by coming on a night that wasn’t busy, so a reservation would serve you well if it’s a busy night. I loved the decor, too!
Had a wonderful meal here on Friday night whilst visiting girvan. Great pub food - my husband had the haggis pakora then the chicken goujons- I had the tomato soup then the scampi. All was cooked to perfection and served with a smile. We will be back and thank you ! X
When arrived was told an average of 6 items not on menu I thought here we go take it or leave it decided to give it a try anyway. What can I say typical value pub grub. Partners soup potato and onion with dollop of cream on it turned the spoon upside down and soup stuck to it very gloopy their soupy. I had prawn tempura all batter no prawn inside it. Fish in breadcrumbs not up to much. Potatoes were ok. Veg most was ok except cabbage undercooked. Scampi was average like the stuff you get out freezer shop. Hand cut chips were dry and hard. I heard decent reviews about this place too maybe I’m just unlucky never even asked if our food was ok.
Absolutely brilliant we pub. And the bar staff r really friendly I love it. Xxxx

Biggest steak pie I have ever seen, and apparently it was very, very tasty too, but he wouldn't share!
