I was amazed when bringing my mother's old dog in for a quick look at a bump on her nose, it was to reassure my mother (93) a client of this practice for over 40 years...to be handed a bill for £24 (6 for the pills and the rest for a 3 min consultation. I timed it.) Surely there could be a sliding scale depending on how long the consultation takes? The pills were nothing to do with this consultation, they were to be picked up as a repeat perscription. What do other people think? Are the vets charging too much? How about a system that helps elderly people who rely on their pets for companionship? Is there a vet 'out there' who would be willing to treat an elderly person's pet for a lesser sum? I agree to costs if drugs treatment etc are needed. Let's start a discussion..........
