Stayed here recently for couple of nights. Limited parking at the bunkhouse but if your here in the late afternoon or evening plenty of free parking on the main road. Just drop your bags off first and leave your car there for your stay. Bus and train are short distance away, Easier and cheaper to use them than using your own car and support a much needed local service. Accommodation is basic but then it is cheap. Food available at bunkhouse but plenty of pubs in town to. Breakfast is £7 and looked good. Showers are mixed sex and tiny cubicles, which can be a pain, but was ok for my stay. All in all cheap, cheerful, safe and ideal place to stay to explore the local area. Ill def be back. Rooms: Basic and clean Safety: Unisex showers Walkability: 10 mins brisk walk into town and bus / train station Food & drinks: Breakfast and evening meals on offer
Great bunkhouse in an amazing location. Everything you need for a based while exploring Snowdonia. Full breakfast for just £7 Will definitely be going back Thanks to Cally and the rest of the staff Walkability: Walkable from Betws-y-Coed train station Food & drinks: Great cooked breakfast
Lovely place to stay with friendly staff and clean rooms. They had extensions leads to help with plug and each bunk had its own light. Great location and dog friendly too! You can add on breakfast for £6 per person which was very tasty.
First time experience in a bunkhouse! 10/10 for location, perfectly placed for a short walk in town and very close to all of the Outdoor activities. I was a Solo traveller, had a bed in an 8 person room, very clean and the bed was comfortable. A lack of sockets so would recommend a power bank as back up. Breakfast was a bargain and decent, the bar area was great and £4.50 a pint was a bargain!! I would recommend Vagabond Bunkhouse.
Third time staying here. Reliable cheap dorm accommodation. Paid just over £25 a night for one night in a six bed room. Comfortable bed decent showers. Breakfast was a bargain at £6 extra for a full English. Rooms would get 5 stars but there was a lack of power sockets for charging in our room. Although each bed gets a reading light a plug or USB would be a useful modern upgrade.
Really nice bunkhouse in a great location. We had two rooms of six beds for a couple of nights in June. The rooms, toilets and showers are quite basic, but the bar was nice and there was a lot of outdoor and indoor seating. Would recommend for a group visit to Snowdonia. Rooms: What you would expect from a hostel room. Decent beds and enough space. There were any lockers though which was a shame. Nearby activities: Great location for hiking and a decent night life in the summer. Food & drinks: Decent breakfast which was good value and a good bar with a great selection of beer and cider on tap and spirits
Me and my 5 friends stayed here over the weekend - 3 days and 2 nights - and it was great all round. The whole place was clean and tidy, the beds were very comfortable and the rooms were warm. The whole place has a very inviting and homey atmosphere to it. They had a full bar including a Snowdon IPA. We also were offered pizza both evenings which we had and were all very satisfied with. We also had full English breakfasts provided both mornings, also very tasty. Couldn't ask for anything else after a 5 hour drive and 6 hour hike! It was an amazing price for everything we got. The only downside was another group who didn't seem happy with their stay, but it seemed to be that they were rude to staff and didn't like when said staff didn't want to accommodate rude customers. The staff dealt with these customers in a calm and respectful manner
Great location and staff were firendly and helpful. Use of the kitchen is possible, when not in use by the staff not clear on the website. No sign of life in the bar for drinks or pizza, but this was Feburary so understandable but again, not clear this would be the case. Bunks are fine and as expected for the value price point. Main issue is the tiny toilet which was dirty and I suspect this caused me to get quite ill the day after I left :
We stayed in a family room at the Vagabond for one night while we were walking the Snowdonia Slate Trail and it was ideal, the room was warm, the beds super comfy and the showers hot. They are dog friendly too and our pup had a very relaxed night. Would highly recommend.
Great place. We had a party of 9 staying. The place was clean tidy & very covid aware. The beds were really comfy & the staff were great! We stayed 2 nights & opted for pizza and chips for our Friday night meal. I had a veggie pizza and it was delicious. You could customise their specials & have without olives etc if you wanted to. We had the cooked breakfast on both days. You could help yourself to tea coffee toast etc. The sausages were great the big breakfast set you up for the day. Highly recommended.
