Great value Bottomless Afternoon Tea at The Tulip today. Attentive and friendly service throughout. Aperol, Mimosa or Prosecco options included. Finger sandwiches with scone and mini cakes. Lovely afternoon

The Tulip is a great pub, great for regulars and new customers will get a warm welcome! Good community atmosphere with pub teams of Darts, Pool, Football. Great venue for parties/wakes/celebrations and a great service given. I had my birthday party here and I couldn't fault the service, it was 100% +++ and was a great evening! Staff are friendly & welcoming. Lovely beer garden with lots of tables/chairs and big car park. Give The Tulip a go, you won't be disappointed

We had a baby shower at The Tulip and all the owners were fantastic - very friendly and accommodating, in fact nothing was too much trouble! Great outdoor space and felt very private - all the ladies were impressed and were thinking of occasions they could book it for. Amazingly no charge for the venue hire, our guests just bought drinks from the bar, which worked perfectly. They even arranged the food for us so took a huge bit of stress out of the organising. We will definitely be back!
I’ve visited The Tulip a fair few times over the years, usually to watch football but most recently for a wonderful quiz night, organised to raise funds for our local hospice in Chelmsford. There is a real buzz about the place, particularly in the sports bar area where such events are held. Yet the saloon bar preserves both the intimacy and familiarity of a pub at the heart of its community, regardless of whatever else is going on in the newer part of the building. The Tulip also boasts a very large, decked beer garden out the back, which is just perfect throughout these long summer evenings. Longstanding licensees Lynette and Martyn are wonderfully obliging hosts, and I cannot recommend their establishment highly enough.
Friends had a party at the Tulip pub. Food and Music provided. Good atmosphere, and good bar service. Great Night. Toilets clean as well. Always a good sign!
