Family run and cosy restaurant. No access for disabled as it is in a historic building and up a flight of stairs. Good range of wines and some bottled beers. Menu is small but interesting choices and generous portions of home made food and fresh vegetables. Does good trade at lunchtimes and will stay open in the evening if you reserve a table for a group. No parking but there are nearby car parks and a small amount of on street parking. The entrance is right by the Northgate arch and is easy to miss.
