What a cute and clean tea room! Hidden away from the high street but well worth a visit. Generous with my brie, loved that my salad wasn't a bog standard iceberg lettuce but had a variety of leaves and fruit. Excellent personal service. Fabulous views from the windows looking out over the town. Will definitely visit again.

Location is fabulous - part of the original winding room building of the cliff railway. You can sit and watch the cliff railway go up and down while drinking tea or coffee of your choice. A wide range of speciality teas are available. Home made cakes and scones are a speciality too. Afternoon teas are popular but they have to be ordered in advance and your table will be reserved for you. There is a sun terrace to sit out during the warmer months. The cafe is quite small and not really small child or disabled friendly as the access is down a very steep winding staircase. That's part of it's charm and popularity.

Fantastic afternoon tea. The choices of tea are massive. Gluten free afternoon tea was not a problem and was really tasty. Highly recommended.

Cannot recommend this tearoom enough! We had an afternoon tea for two. Two choices of sandwich fillings, two cakes, two scones with butter, clotted cream and jam, and two drinks. Portions are very generous. We couldn't eat anything more after all that! Service was excellent. Can't wait to go again. And the views from the tearoom are great.
