Visited Bridgnorth and noticed this pub because of the beautiful floral display. Went here for dinner on a Monday evening because it was one of the very few places serving food.nnUpon entering it was far more modern than we expected, with a huge extension to the rear and a large outdoor area. The welcome was pleasant rather than warm and service was attentive. The food was good, as were portion sizes.nnOwners please note: the kitchen is not sound proofed and the ‘banter’ between the kitchen staff and servers was punctuated by regular swearing; clearly audible in dining areas. Not acceptable, particularly in a family-friendly pub.
First visit here because of a recommendation. Food was stunning and great value and the staff attentive and friendly. Could be my new favourite place for lunch out. Couldn't think of a better place to eat especially if you can get out in the garden.nnThank you, we will be back very soon
Stopped here for food and it was lovely the home made pie is excellent highly recommend.nHad a Guinness put it wasn’t up to much could be better.nA lot of bubbles on the pint glass and a really metal taste too it.nBut 100%would definitely eat here agin
Great food at very good prices with some of the best service I've ever had to the extent I actually found the landlord to tell him that!
Managed to get a Sunday booking for midday. It was very quiet inside as it was start of service. Staff were friendly and efficient. My wife had the lasagne and I the ploughmans. Both were delicious and the famous plougmans looked as good as the pictures did. Overall I would highly recommend the Old Castle for a great meal in Bridgnorth.
