The tall women behind the counter was rude. She told us we couldn't sit on a table that we wanted because she had just cleaned it so instead made us sit on one that had to be propped with coasters. My little boy was playing with a menu while we were looking at what we wanted (he's 1) and she came over snatched it off him and said they cost money you know. He got upset so she tutted and said if he can't be controlled you will have to leave. 😡 so I actually apologised and decided to order a breakfast. Because I don't like black pudding I said could I just have extra mushrooms instead for her to say no you can't because it's limited and you get enough anyways so I thought fair enough but once it came over there was 3 whole mushrooms so I decided enough is enough so I got my lad and missus and left for her to say don't come back if your not eating it. Disgusting. Damp all over the walls and ceiling too. Can't rate on the food just her.

Staff not very friendly unless you're a daltonian, on the other hand the food is good and good value

A local institution, good no-nonsense food. Try the home-made cakes with a lovely cup of tea!
