Friendly staff. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Quiet location, carers for both couples as well as families. Often have specials on. Food always served hot unless you order a cold starter or dessert. Good food, excellent choice of menu and always have seasonal vegetables. Lovely choice of specials on display. A vast array of wines, beers, spirits and soft drinks on offer, as well as tea and coffees and specialities coffees. Fully recommend.

The staff are lovely and so friendly! My friends and I spent many a Friday afternoon enjoying the sharing platter!

Last time I came here (March 2018) they’d somehow managed to run out of steak, although they didn’t tell us this until we had drinks and were seated. This seems to be a common theme with this ownership team as we’ve had the same problem with another of their pubs (The Flying Fox on the A5) and if I didn’t know any better, I’d say it’s a ploy to get food out of the kitchen that wouldn’t sell otherwise. A real shame as the staff are friendly and the food usually very nice. Can’t say I’m keen to return anytime soon, but maybe they will buck their ideas up and take note of the recent negative reviews on here.
