Story

The Torrance Hotel is located in The Village, East Kilbride and boasts a stunning restaurant and lounge bar with a state of the art conservatory, 2 function suites, 16 luxurious bedrooms and an out of this world new Honeymoon Spa.

The hotel building dates back to the latter part of the 18th century and was an original coach house. We have recently undergone a major refurbishment and we can proudly say we are one of the best hotels for Weddings, Corporate Events, Live Entertainment and luxurious, relaxing breaks.

Even if you are simply popping in for a bite to eat with friends or family, enjoying a relaxing coffee in our conservatory or partying the night away in our lively bar, you won’t be disappointed with The Torrance Hotel and all it’s bespoke splendour.

Review of [Restaurant Name]nnHaving spent 25 years in the hospitality industry, particularly in the restaurant and hotel business, I truly appreciate well-designed spaces. This hotel and its architecture are visually stunning—elegant and easy on the eyes. Although I didn’t stay at the hotel this time, I plan to return to experience the rooms and service firsthand.nnAs for the restaurant, the ambiance and design are impressive, and the bar area is equally well put together, as seen in the photos. However, the food quality was disappointing. The soup arrived cold and was completely tasteless. When the waiter who was also the barman came to collect it, he simply asked if I was finished without inquiring why I hadn’t eaten it. This lack of attentiveness was a major service flaw.nnThe fish portion was reasonable for the price, but there was no tartar sauce provided, and the mushy peas portion was disappointingly small. I had to request garlic sauce separately. As for the steak a 10 oz cut, it was also a fair price, but despite requesting it well-done, part of it was medium while the rest was well-done, which was another letdown.nnOverall, while the restaurant’s aesthetics are impressive, the food quality does not match the expectations set by the surroundings. I strongly encourage management to focus on staff training and improving food standards to enhance the overall dining experience.
I want to compliment the Torrance Hotel staff for our tremendous Golden Wedding Anniversary Event held in the Torrance Suite on Friday 21st March 2025.nFrom the start the staff were excellent, Rebecca from the events team, Emma in bookings, Anya and Suoni setting up the venue for us and our guests and Danny the DJ. They all went above and beyond our expectations setting up the room and all our guests commented on how spectacular the venue was. The venue was perfect, the buffet exceptional, the staff polite, professional, helpful and friendly, the music was great and everyone had a super time.nThe staff made a special night even better and we couldn’t have asked for more. I want to say that my wife and I had the best night ever and it was all down to your team. Thanks again for a wonderful evening. All future events will be booked through you.nJohn and Liz Caie
Went twice for weddings. The dance floor is quite small that makes the music really loud for the full room impossible to have a conversation. But a room next door is normally available for the buffet and some sitting. Restroom are clean and lovely. Decently priced bar.
Came up for our son's wedding end of Jan 25...first time for us at this hotel, but believe our son and friends had attended for another event previously.nnWas a lovely venue, the master of the ceremonies was great - made me laugh. I believe the wedding party enjoyed their day, which is important
Was in the Torrance yesterday for my daughters 30th Birthday lunch and Cocktail class it was an amazing day. The staff were fantastic. The food was so nice, and the portions were very goodnThe cocktail class was run by Jamie, who was very outgoing funny and great at running the class. l would definitely go back it was a great day at the Torrance
