Was out on my bike and happened across signs for this, went there for lunch - really enjoyed the macaroni. Friendly staff and an interesting shop full of quality local produce. Ended up coming away with a load of stuff, all delicious.

So much potential but really poorly executed! This place would be a great experience but for a couple of points. 1: dirt dirt and more dirt. We arrived at 3:30pm with the excitement of viewing the milking to find a shop which clearly hadn't been cleaned for hours! The kids soft play area was filthy throughout both on the floor and on the surfaces, with food clearly visible. 2. Selection of food. Where was it all? 4 for a £10 deal with none of the items on offer! Meat was 1 day to go for used by, all in all pretty poor for a farm shop with its own butcher! 3. Coos - 5am and 4pm. Severely underwhelming why not have a talk at 4pm or a DVD which explained the process? 4. Service with a scowl - need I say more. There's no excuse and 3-5pm should be the prime time for service. 5. Food - cremated at best with sausages looking like they had been cooked for 10 hours plus All in all a really disappointing visit from a family who won't be returning again

Well it would be good if the service was a bit faster. Nice family owned café with produce sales and a view through to the milking parlour. Also a soft play area.

Highly recommend the cheese board on its own merits, it's a selection of their own cheeses and for what you pay you get a lot of cheese :) if you time it right you can watch the cows getting milked. It's a new place so service a bit hit or miss, but I'm sure it will settle down over time. It also has a great selection of local produce including fresh meats, vegetables and soft fruit.

Decent selection of local products and good home bakes in the cafe. Pricey and not in the most scenic location though.
