I have stayed here many times, certainly 50+ over the past 10 years. Reception, rooms are great and the food has improved too. Need to work a lot harder on the service in the restaurant and bar area, very poor. It was compounded by the fact that we ordered 'Beef Two Ways' but we got 'Beef One Way x Two' if you know what I mean?

Had a pleasant weekend with excellent food. One star off because you can't take your own drink into your room.... A first in my experience and I do stay in a lot of hotels in the course of a year. 😟

We were a family of 7 people yesterday meeting to have lunch and celebrate a 97th birthday. Unfortunately we couldn't celebrate with taking along a cake and candles as I was told prior to this that unless we were all having 3 courses we would be charged £3 per head. We are family who travelled from different directions so weren't able to meet elsewhere to have the cake.

Been a few times to this hotel . Must say the staff are wonderful very professional and polite . Good is of good quality and the gym is a added bonus. Rooms always kept clean.. no complaints from me .

We had Sunday lunch at the hotel, the food was great. Only slight issue was that the regular menu wasn't available despite having been given the menus. All in all, the Sunday lunch menu was great and the roast beef was a delight.
