Visited here last night with my daughter, my mum and step dad, ordered through the app and didn't wait too long even though it looked busy. Food was very nice and wasn't expensive at all. The only thing I would say is that there should be bigger tables as we pushed 2 together so all 4 of us had some room to eat. Overall great experience and will definitely visit again.
As a wheelchair user, I cannot recommend this place enough. They have a lift to get you in to be able to access the main pub area or the beer garden. Disabled toilet was large enough and clean.nThe staff where spot on, we ordered from the table food and drinks, many drinks and the staff always had a very good attitude. Will be returning. As a old town pub it's easy access for disabled people.
It's a typical 'Spoons', nothing more, nothing less. Cheap drinks and Food. Affordable tasty pub grub. Had the Buttermilk Chicken Burger that comes with Chips and a San Miguel, plus 12 Onion Rings for a total of 12GBP. Food was fresh and tasty, Beer crisp and cold. Nothing wrong here!
Nice little restaurant- a very quiet Monday morning breakfast however the food was FREEZING cold and the halloumi was squeaky and chewy. Nice outdoor seating area though with plenty of sun as it came up!
Out of the two JDW visited in the city centre this is my favourite.nVery nice beer garden, impressive original interior and an architecturally important historic building.nI had a reliable Oakham ale, which was very good .nWill return
