Cracking pub in the Old Town area of Hull. Can get quite busy but they do have a decent sized outdoor area too with heaters.nnGood bar menu for food which was decently priced and good quality/nice.nnDecent range of drinks too, again reasonably priced. The service was good, very friendly, we had some good chats with the landlord who was a nice friendly guy and told us a little bit about the area.nnWe’ll visit Old Town again and will definitely return here and would recommend it.
A random choice for lunch today. Pies, mash and roasted parsnips. And some good coffee too. And whilst we were eating, the TV screen played old photos of Hull, and also referenced the films and TV series shot on the high street outside the front door!! Certainly worth a visit, for food and surroundings, even if you've lived in Hull all your life!! 4.25 /5. Took a while for the food to come, but when it did... marvelous!!
Best pies in Hull! Friendly staff and great decor! Gets very busy during weekends. Also lots of allergen friendly food, has an amazing gluten free and vegan pie with jackfruit “meat”
Super local pub which oozes character and charm. I haven't been here for some years however it was great to spend time here with colleagues after work last week. We sat outside in the courtyard and there was a great vibe about the place. Staff were lovely and the décor is quirky and fun yet traditional with a modern twist. You have to visit yourself to appreciate it.
Great ambiance, Piemister pie was good and plenty of other choices. First pint was a dodgy one but they were quick to offer alternative. Was quite busy compared to other pubs in area - clearly a favourite amongst locals.
