For a train station pub/restaurant Three Guineas is not half bad. They tout craft beer on their website and they actually deliver on that promise. If you aren't into the regular British beer types there is a good selection of cans and bottle in the fridge. They also serve some nice bites.
We ordered Cosmopolitan cocktail which is ment to be with flavoured vodka of absolute and not of smoky flavour of lemon but the guy became nervous and ended up making something different. Only reason of 3 stars is the colour of the drink which was accurate.
Can't get a better location for a pub on the concourse to Reading station however this convenience comes at a price. Good selection of Fuller's hand pulled with an extensive choice of wines, spirits and larger. London Pride was kept well, but then it should be for £4.50 a pop!
My friend Amanda’s best experience of this bar was the Xmas tree which was the snake randomly decorated on the side of it. The buy one get one frees were not filled to the top with the martini’s so only a 3 star, also the star at the top of the tree was not as erect as I would Like it to of been.
It was a nice place with s nice atmosphere but the food was a bit small scale for a place where I'd expect "pub grub" sorts of offerings. For example someone with us ordered nachos and he got s very fancy looking plate of 4 nachos. I did not taste so maybe that made up for it
Great selection of ales. Friendly staff too. Just right for a pre travel drink.
Really still a railway pub, but now only accessible from outside the station. Being attached though its a good place to wait for a connect and have a drink. Decent selection of beers and live sport shown.
Didnt like Fullers beer 20 years ago, tastes change... Went out of my way to visit the local Fullers Pub, great selection of beers, staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the beer on tap, offering suggestions. Good mix of of commuters and those on an evening out, will definitely return.
Best place to meet my old workmates. Handy for the trains, and there's a good off licence over the road
